The aim of this study was to evaluate whether three-week supplementation of L-glutamine could benefit the mucosal immunity and hormonal status of combat-sport athletes as well as their rates of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) and subjective feelings of well-being after intensive training.
Methods: Twenty-one combat-sport athletes from the National Taiwan University of Sport were recruited in this study.
