Introduction: The early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of monogenic glomerular diseases can reduce kidney failure, avoid unnecessary investigations such as kidney biopsies and ineffective treatment with immunosuppressants, guide transplant decisions, and inform the genetic risks of their family members. Yet, genetic testing for kidney disease is underutilized in Singapore. We aimed to implement a nephrologist-led genetic service and evaluate the acceptance, adoption, utility, and cost-effectiveness of genetic testing for monogenic glomerular disease in Singapore.

Introduction: The clinical presentation and outcomes of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) have not been well studied.

Methods: We performed a meta-analysis to examine the presenting features, outcomes and the effect of treatment on outcomes of KTRs with COVID-19. Database search was performed up to 5 September 2020 through PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus and CENTRAL.

In this paper, the dynamics of multi-dendrite concurrent growth and coarsening of an Al-15 .% Cu alloy was studied using a highly computationally efficient 3D phase field model and real-time synchrotron X-ray micro-tomography. High fidelity multi-dendrite simulations were achieved and the results were compared directly with the time-evolved tomography datasets to quantify the relative importance of multi-dendritic growth and coarsening.

Residual stresses in large offshore mooring chains have been measured for the first time and presented in this article. Two chain links with the same size and material, one only subjected to proof load and no cyclic service loads and the other exposed to service loads as well as the proof load, were selected for the experiment. Residual stresses just below the surface were measured using the hole-drilling technique and the neutron diffraction technique was employed for deeper measurements.

The aim of this study is to identify factors from referral information predictive of patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) requiring early review. Four hundred twenty-six consecutive rheumatologist-triaged referrals from February to June 2012 were retrospectively reviewed to identify patients with rheumatologist-diagnosed IA correctly triaged for review within 2 weeks from referral date. Information from referral was analyzed descriptively followed by univariate logistic regression adjusted for age and sex to identify predictors of IA.
