Objective: Fractalkine (CX3CL1) and macrophage inflammatory protein-1β (MIP-1β)/CCL4 play a role in chemotactic activity, immune response, and inflammatory response. We aimed to investigate the effects of fractalkine and MIP-1β in the development of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) by considering the inflammatory response during ovulation.
Materials And Methods: Two equal groups of 20 immature female rats were created.
Objectives: To determine the effects of hyperandrogenemia and other phenotypic parameters on endometrial vitamin D receptor (VDR-X2 and VDR-X4) expression in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) undergoing ovarian stimulation and total embryo freezing.
Methods: Forty-four PCOS patients were divided into four phenotypes according to the criteria for hyperandrogenemia (HA), ovulatory dysfunction (OD), and polycystic ovary morphology (PCOM): phenotype A (HA+OD+PCOM), phenotype B (HA+OD), phenotype C (HA+PCOM), and phenotype D (OD+PCOM). Endometrial VDR expression was determined by real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry.
Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors and a leading cause of cancer-related death in women. Research is focusing on biomarkers linked to breast cancer, particularly two novel proteins: isthmin-1 (ISM-1) and spexin (SPX), which require further investigation.
Material And Methods: The study involved 20 healthy controls and 60 patients with invasive ductal carcinoma, categorized into three groups: Grade I (n=20), Grade II (n=20), and Grade III (n=20).
Backround: In this study, we aimed to investigate the potential contributions to the disease by examining the immunoreactivities of SPX in LP-affected skin tissue using immunohistochemical methods, in light of its recent prominence as a molecule related to diabetes mellitus, along with apoptosis and ferroptosis mediated by GPX4 and TRPM2 channels facilitating oxidative stress-induced cell death.
Objective: This research explored the immunohistochemical expressions of TRPM2, GPX4, and SPX in Lichen Planus (LP) patients compared to healthy individuals.
Materials And Methods: Forty skin samples were collected, split equally between LP patients and healthy controls, excluding those with other conditions.
Background/aim: Surfactant is a surface-active substance that, in addition to its detergent effect, also has effects that reduce inflammation and fibrosis. Because of these effects, it was aimed herein to investigate the effect of intraperitoneal surfactant application on preventing postoperative peritoneal adhesion formation in a uterine horn adhesion model.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-one Wistar albino rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (G1-G3), as follows: G1 (n = 7): control group.
Background/aims: In our study, the effect of hyaluronan synthase 2 (HAS2) and CD44 immunoreactivity as a predictive biomarker in the prediction of progesterone-resistant endometrial hyperplasia (EH) cases without atypia was investigated.
Settings And Design: In this retrospective study, HAS2 and CD44 immunoreactivity in the endometrial tissues of 60 patients diagnosed with EH and treated with progesterone and 20 patients diagnosed with proliferative endometrium (PE) were evaluated.
Materials And Methods: Eighty patients were divided into four groups.
Purpose: As the normal colon epithelium differentiates into adenoma, invasive cancer and metastatic cancer, the cell acquires new characteristics such as apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation, invasion and metastasis. Many mechanisms are effective in acquiring these qualities. One of these is the regulation of the functioning of ion channels.

Excessive high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) consumption is known to cause oxidative stress, which induces transient receptor potential melastatin type 2 (TRPM2) channel gating. Oxidative stress-induced TRPM2 gating is suggested to play an important role in neurons, indicating a role for the TRPM2 channel in a variety of neuropsychiatric disorders including depression and anxiety. We investigated the effects of HFCS and chronic immobilization stress (CIS) on TRPM2 channel immunoreactivity, anxiety, and depressive-like behaviors in adult male rats.
