Mindfulness-Based and Mindfulness-Informed Interventions at the Workplace: A Systematic Review and Meta-Regression Analysis of RCTs.

Objectives: Positive effects of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) on occupational health have been demonstrated by several systematic review studies during the last two decades. So far, existing reviews excluded mindfulness-informed interventions (MIIs) that build on informal approaches or mixed techniques aiming at improving mindfulness indirectly. To address this research gap, the present comprehensive meta-analysis synthesizes the results of RCTs of MBIs and MIIs conducted in various workplace settings.

Background: Children and adolescents undergoing kidney transplantation may present oral conditions after the procedure, but a few studies have recently described them.

Aim: To describe the oral conditions of post-renal transplant children and adolescents.

Design: Two calibrated dentists examined all the participants by assessing caries experience, enamel defects, periodontal condition and soft tissue lesions.

Aims: Autoimmune polyglandular syndrome type I (APS-I) is a rare condition of autosomal recessive and monogenic inheritance, which is characterized clinically by at least two signs of the classic triad: mucocutaneous candidosis, hypoparathyroidism, and Addison's disease. This study aims to report the oral manifestations of APS-I in a 42-year-old woman, who attended the Special Care Dentistry Center.

Methods And Results: The patient presented with hypoparathyroidism, diabetes mellitus, and autoimmune hepatitis.

Laser Surgery of Extensive Homogeneous Oral Leukoplakia Histologically Suggestive of Proliferative Type: A Case Report.

Oral leukoplakia (OL) has the potential for malignant transformation; unfortunately, there are no strategies to prevent this possible outcome. Surgical intervention has been reported to be effective in reducing but not eliminating the risk of malignant transformation. Meta-analyses have reported that patients who underwent excision of OL lesions had a significantly lower chance of malignant transformation than those whose lesions were not excised.

Diagnosis and management of oral ulcerations associated with mycophenolate mofetil in kidney transplantation.

Aims: The final diagnosis of oral mucosal ulcerations in solid organ transplant recipients represents a challenge. We describe a unique case of oral ulceration related to mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) toxicity, 11 years after kidney transplantation, whose dose reduction was sufficient to resolve it.

Methods And Results: A 54-year-old female patient, who underwent kidney transplantation 11 years ago, presents multiple ulcers on the buccal mucosa bilaterally, soft palate and tongue dorsum, for 8 months, with moderate pain.

Oral alterations in patients with cystinosis.

Cystinosis is a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder, which leads to abnormal accumulation of cysteine in various organs, including progressive dysfunction of kidneys. The most severe and frequent form, affecting ∼95% of patients, is termed infantile nephropathic cystinosis (NC) (OMIM 219800). We have reported oral findings in two patients with NC and described esthetic and functional rehabilitation in one of them.

We introduced a systematic assessment of respiratory mechanics in our clinical practice. After the first year of clinical use, we retrospectively assessed whether these measurements had any influence on clinical management and physiological parameters associated with clinical outcomes by comparing their value before and after performing the test.
