This study examined the surface roughness (R) and shear bond strength (SBS) of Yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystalline (Y-TZP) ceramic after airborne particle abrasion at different pressures and particle sizes, pre- and post-sintering. Ninety specimens, prepared from Y-TZP ceramic blocks (Vita In-Ceram YZ, Vita Zahnfabrik), were divided into nine subgroups: control, and 50 and 110 µm AlO airborne particle abrasion at 3 and 4 bar pressure, before and after sintering, respectively. According to the sintering order, before and after surface treatments, R values were measured using a profilometer.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to determine the prevalence of restless leg syndrome (RLS) in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and identify associated risk factors.
  • Out of 318 diabetes patients observed, the prevalence of RLS was 28.3%, with higher rates in females (33.3%) compared to males (20.6%), and a significant correlation was found between RLS and the duration of diabetes.
  • This research highlights that RLS is more common in type-2 DM patients, particularly among those using insulin, indicating a need for further investigation into these relationships.
