Unlabelled: Osteosarcoma (OS) bone tumor of childhood although the etiology of OS has not been fully elucidated, there is evidence linking it with factors related to pubertal development. In recent years, plasma CNP concentration and height velocity in children and CNP have been implicated as an emerging new growth marker during childhood. We aimed to determine the serum NT-proCNP levels of patients with pediatric osteosarcoma and its relation with clinical-laboratory growth parameters and look for any correlation of serum NT-proCNP levels with different prognostic factors in childhood osteosarcoma.

The study was planned as a cross-sectional, retrospective study. The records of patients who applied to the study center in between January 2012 and January 2013 were screened and 205 ADHD and ADHD-NOS cases' records were evaluated.

Objective: This study aimed to attenuate cochlear inflammation following noise-induced hearing loss by targeting IL-1. We evaluated the effectiveness of IL-1 inhibition through auditory and histological assessments in an animal model.
Study Design: Experimental animal study.
Background: Various explicit screening tools, developed mostly in central Europe and the USA, assist clinicians in optimizing medication use for older adults. The Turkish Inappropriate Medication use in oldEr adults (TIME) criteria set, primarily based on the STOPP/START criteria set, is a current explicit tool originally developed for Eastern Europe and subsequently validated for broader use in Central European settings. Reviewed every three months to align with the latest scientific literature, it is one of the most up-to-date tools available.

In individuals with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), CT-P13 has been shown to be effective and to have a well-tolerated safety profile. The aim of this study was to evaluate the long-term drug persistence, safety, and efficacy of infliximab biosimilar CT-P13 in patients with AS undergoing first-line (1st-line) and later (≥2nd-line) treatment in clinical practice.

Methods: The study was completed by 104 patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS), and 83 patients filled out the scale a second time after 7 days for the retest measurement. The PROFAD-SSISF-T, Functional Assessment Chronic Illness Therapy (Fatigue) (FACIT-F), EULAR Sjögren's Syndrome Patient Reported Index (ESSPRI), European Quality of Life 5 Dimensions (EQ-5D), and Patient Global Assessment (PaGA) were applied to 104 patients with pSS for convergent validity.
Objective: We aimed to (1) evaluate the cardiac involvement, with a focus on myocarditis, in patients with Still disease included in the multicenter Autoinflammatory Disease Alliance (AIDA) Network Still disease registry; and (2) assess the predictive factors for myocarditis by deriving a clinical risk patient profile for this severe manifestation.
Methods: A multicenter observational study was established, in which consecutive patients with Still disease in the AIDA Network Still disease registry were characterized by cardiac involvement. Cardiac involvement was defined according to the presence of pericarditis, tamponade, myocarditis, and/or aseptic endocarditis.
In a previous study, it has been shown that the population of Th17 lymphocytes was increased in patients with FMF. IL-21 and IL-23 play significant roles in the production and differentiation of Th17 cells. In this study, we aimed to evaluate serum levels of IL-21 and IL-23 in FMF patients both at diagnosis and after treatment, and to compare these levels with those of healthy controls.

Here, we performed a high-throughput screen for compounds that could activate gasdermin D (GSDMD), which is expressed widely in tumors. We identified 6,7-dichloro-2-methylsulfonyl-3-N-tert-butylaminoquinoxaline (DMB) as a direct and selective GSDMD agonist that activates GSDMD pore formation and pyroptosis without cleaving GSDMD.

It examines the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), and nitric oxide (NO) in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and saliva.
Methods: Forty Behçet's patients with gingivitis or periodontitis and 47 patients with either gingivitis or periodontitis but without BD were studied.
Background: Physical inactivity, which is highly prevalent in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular events and causes many complications. This study aimed to investigate the effect of objective measurement and physical activity level on peripheral muscle strength, exercise capacity, pain, dyspnea, fatigue, anxiety, and depression in patients with SLE.
Methods: The present cross-sectional study analyzed 41 patients with SLE.
Immature granulocytes (IGs) are used as markers of infection and systemic inflammation. We aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of IGs in children with urinary tract infections (UTIs). Children with their first UTIs were included in this observational study.

Here, we aimed to determine the expression levels of pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines in children with TD and compare them with those of healthy controls. Furthermore, we also evaluated their association with clinical variables in the TD group.

The present study aimed to evaluate efficacy, safety, and treatment adherence associated with the initial use of TNFi therapy in biologic naive patients diagnosed with LoAS. Patients whose age of onset was ≥ 45 years and < 45 years were classified as having LoAS and YoAS, respectively, based on the age of symptom onset.

Pneumococcal carriage studies are helpful tools for detecting potentially infectious serotypes and guiding immunization efforts. Pneumococcal nasopharyngeal colonization is common, and IPD can easily occur in an immunosuppressed state.

Materials And Methods: In this multicenter, retrospective study, SSc patients with COVID-19 were included. Clinical features of SSc, along with detailed COVID-19 data, were extracted from medical records and patient interviews.
It was aimed to evaluate the relationships between neuropsychological functions, self-reported metacognitive abilities, and resilience levels among children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and those with Cognitive Disengagement Syndrome (CDS) compared to healthy controls. This cross-sectional, case-control study was consisted of 36 children with CDS only, 36 with ADHD only, 33 with CDS and ADHD and 39 control children were enrolled for a total sample of 144 children. The intellectual and neuropsychological functioning of the participating children was evaluated using the WISC-IV.
