Background: Multi-cancer early detection (MCED) through a single blood test significantly advances cancer diagnosis. However, most MCED tests rely on a single type of biomarkers, leading to limited sensitivity, particularly for early-stage cancers. We previously developed SPOT-MAS, a multimodal ctDNA-based assay analyzing methylation and fragmentomic profiles to detect five common cancers.

We present 2 cases of DAVF occurring after venous sinus stenting (VSS) for presumed idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) in a 51-year-old and a 52-year-old female. In both patients, Cognard type 1 DAVF was detected by Catheter angiography and successfully obliterated with Onyx™ embolization.

(Group B , GBS) is a common cause, typically transmitted from colonized pregnant women to neonates during childbirth. In Vietnam, routine prenatal care lacks standardized GBS screening protocols.

Utilizing high-throughput dicing assays, we expose the bipartite pairing rule that dictates the cleavage sites of DICER. Furthermore, we decode the intricate recognition mechanism of the primary YCR motif and identify an analogous secondary YCR motif that influences DICER's cleavage choices.

Here we first review the limited available literature addressing the current landscape of specialist assessment services for dementia and cognitive decline and the preparedness for new amyloid-targeting therapies for Alzheimer's disease across the Western Pacific region. Considering the scarcity of literature, as national representatives of Western Pacific nations we were then guided by the World Health Organization's Global Action Plan on Dementia to provide country-specific reviews. As a whole, we highlight that the existing diverse socioeconomic and cultural landscape across the region poses unique challenges, including varying access to services and marked differences among countries in their preparedness for upcoming amyloid-targeting therapies for Alzheimer's disease.

This article introduces a novel control solution for the EPS system called BSSMCPID. This algorithm combines two nonlinear techniques, BS and SMC, with the input signal corrected by a PID technique.

An intelligent control solution, the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), is established in this article to control the performance of the active anti-roll systems. In contrast to the previously published studies, the intelligent algorithm designed in this research has many outstanding advantages, such as generating a large impact force, a fast response time, a small phase difference, and high convergence ability.

African swine fever (ASF) is a highly contagious and severe hemorrhagic transboundary swine viral disease with up to a 100% mortality rate, which leads to a tremendous socio-economic loss worldwide. The lack of safe and efficacious ASF vaccines is the greatest challenge in the prevention and control of ASF. In this study, we generated a safe and effective live-attenuated virus (LAV) vaccine candidate VNUA-ASFV-LAVL3 by serially passaging a virulent genotype II strain (VNUA-ASFV-L2) in an immortalized porcine alveolar macrophage cell line (3D4/21, 50 passages).

Sulfur compounds in fuel such as thiophene, benzothiophene and dibenzothiophene are the primary source of SO emissions, leading to environmental pollution and acid rain. In this study, we synthesized a layered oxygen-doped graphitic carbon nitride (OCN) structure and integrated ZnO and TiO nanoparticles onto the OCN surface through a microwave-assisted sol-gel method. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and density functional theory (DFT) results confirmed a robust interaction between the ZnO and TiO nanoparticles and the oxygen-doped g-CN (OCN) surface, as indicated by the formation of C-N-Ti and C-O-Ti bonds.

This study focuses on evaluating the spatiotemporal variations in river water quality based on physicochemical characteristics and pesticide parameters for different seasons in 2022-2023. The results indicate that the concentrations of most parameters in the rainy season were higher than those in the early-dry and dry seasons due to the non-point sources in agricultural areas.

Materials And Methods: Interviews with 24 healthcare professionals and 21 surveys (comprising Likert scale and free text responses) of inpatients undergoing rehabilitation for reconditioning provided study data. Interpretive thematic analysis was used to analyse interview data; descriptive statistics analysed Likert scale responses; patient written responses assisted with the interpretation of themes developed from the interview data.
Background: Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy based on antimicrobial susceptibility in Vietnamese children currently get low efficiency. There are causes of treatment failure, among host genetic factors namely MDR1 C3435T and CYP2C19 affect the absorption and metabolism of proton pump inhibitors - a crucial component of eradication therapy. The study aimed to investigate the effect of MDR1 C3435T and CYP2C19 genetic polymorphisms on the cure rate.

In this study we sought to determine the prevalence of OHCA patients in Vietnam who received bystander CPR and its effects on survival outcomes.
Methods: We performed a multicenter, retrospective observational study of patients (≥18 years) presenting with OHCA at three major hospitals in an LMIC from February 2014-December 2018.
Background: Due to cognitive impairments, people with dementia (PWD) often have difficulties in eating and drinking. This study aimed to assess the nutritional status, dietary quality and eating disturbance issues among PWD in Vietnam.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study at the Vietnamese National Geriatric Hospital from April to December 2022.
This study aims to synthesize a guest-host complex derived from rutin (Rut) and β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) (denoted as [Rut⊂β-CD]). The obtained substance was characterized by the FT-IR and DSC methods, signifying the formation of an inclusion complex between Rut and β-CD. Complex formation increased the antioxidant activity of rutin corresponding to the decrease of EC values from 1.

The electrochemical kinetics parameters including peak current response (Δ), peak-to-peak separation (Δ), electrochemically active surface area (ECSA), electron-transfer resistance (R), were obtained through the electrochemical analyses, which indicate the single-crystalline nature of CMS nanomaterials (NMs) is beneficial for enhanced electron-transfer kinetics. The morphological features and the electrochemical results for OFX detection substantiate that by tuning the tube-like to plate-like structures of the CMS NMs, it might noticeably enhance multiple adsorption sites and more intrinsic active catalytic sites due to the diffusion of analytes into the interstitial spaces between CMS nanoplates.
