Background: The current standard prostate biopsy method, which combine systematic biopsy (SB) with targeted biopsy (TB), has shortcomings such as overdiagnosis and overtreatment. To evaluate the effectiveness of ipsilateral systematic biopsy (ips-SB) combined with targeted biopsy (ips-SB+TB) and contralateral SB (con-SB) combined with TB (con-SB+TB) as potential alternatives to SB+TB.

Methods: A comprehensive literature search was conducted in Cochrane, Embase, Ovid, and PubMed databases until September 2024.

This study was to investigate the differentiation potential of iPSCs into olfactory receptor neurons and mitral/tufted cells in vitro. We extracted mouse embryonic fibroblast and prepared feeding layer, where mouse iPSCs were inoculated on; RT-PCR were used to identify iPSCs pluripotency genes Oct4, Nanog and Sox2. Then, we separated the olfactory epithelium and olfactory bulb from mice, which contained respectively olfactory receptor neurons and mitral/tufted cells, co-cultured iPSCs with olfactory epithelium cell and olfactory bulb, and identified differentiated cells with the olfactory receptor neurons markers (OMP, GAP43, NCAM), mitral/tufted cells markers (TBX21, Iba1) after 14 days co-culturing by immunofluorescence and RT-PCR.

Acrylonitrile production wastewater has been widely recognized as one type of refractory organic wastewater because of its complicated composition and low bioavailability. It usually contains plenty of micromolecular nitrile and pyridine, resulting in high chemical oxygen demand (CODCr), total organic carbon (TOC) and total nitrogen (TN) concentrations. In this study, a novel microporous zeolite, CS-Z1, was developed as an adsorbent for rapidly shape-selective adsorption of the micromolecular pollutants from the acrylonitrile production wastewater, and a visible light-driven Ti-β-Bi2O3 photocatalysis was introduced to sequentially treat the residual macromolecular pollutants for complete purification.

[Myoepithelioma of nasal cavity: a case report].

Myoepithelioma is an uncommon benign tumor that most likely occurs in the salivary gland. Extra-salivary myoepithelioma are sporadic and rare, especially the quantities occur in the sinonasal cavity are fewer in related literature reported. In this paper, we present a rare case of benign myoepithelioma that occurred in the nasal cavity, and the related process of pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis are discussed.

The agricultural by-product of Lentinus edodes was used as a novel biosorbent for bioremediation of chromate contaminated waste water in the simulated experimental conditions. The contact time, particle size, biosorbent dosage and optimum pH range were investigated to optimize the sorption condition. The biosorption by the biomass was strongly affected by pH.
