Identified pathogens, and studied the features of the clinical picture, the level of antioxidant activity, the number of TBA-active products, cytokines, chaperones proteins and antibodies against them in the serum of patients with fungal, viral, bacterial rhinosinusitis (RS) were studied. Most RS of viral nature are caused by rhinoviruses, in turn, the causative agent of bacterial RS, most often acts as a polyflora (S. epidermidis, S.

They contain disease-specific biomarkers and can be used for predicting and diagnosing various diseases of the urinary system without resorting to invasive procedures. This review presents data on domestic and international research investigating the importance and potential application of urinary microvesicles for the diagnosis and prediction of diseases of the urinary system.

The HI is derived from the laser speckle characteristics, which are governed by the cutaneous blood flow. A miniaturized dynamic light-scattering sensor was used to measure the speckle pattern from the finger root.

Methods: The experiment included the similar aged 42 white non-pedigree male rats with average weight of 150 grams. The rats were divided in two groups each of these having 21 species.
Background: The issue of heat shock protein (HSP) 70 and anti-HSP70 antibodies in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) has never been explored.
Objective: To determine the nasal secretion (NS) levels of HSP70 and anti-HSP70 antibodies in patients with CRS with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and patients with CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP), and to evaluate their associations with CRS clinical severity and correlation with NS interleukin (IL), IL-5 and interferon λ.
Methods: CRS severity was determined by Lund-Mackay scores.
Background: Olfactory dysfunction is a diagnostic criterion for chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). During chronic inflammation and olfactory neuronal damage in CRS, it is likely that neuron-specific enolase (NSE) can leak into nasal secretions (NS) and serum. Therefore, we postulated that NSE levels in NS and in circulation may be indicative of olfactory dysfunction in CRS.

CRS has two phenotypic variants: CRS with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and CRS without nasal polyps (CRSsNP). An area of growing interest is to identify biologic markers that could assess different aspects of CR phenotypes.

The issue of AAbs in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) has never been explored.
Objective: The aim of the study was to check AAbs in patients with CRS and with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and patients with CRS and without nasal polyps (CRSsNP).
Background: In atopic dermatitis (AD), monocytes, which accumulate in the inflamed skin, are characterized by a significantly impaired Toll-like receptors (TLR) expression and TLR2-mediated cytokine secretion. However, data on expression of TLR on monocytes of peripheral blood (PB) in AD are not available.
Objective: To investigate TLR2 and TLR4 expression on PB monocytes during AD exacerbation and to assess the relationships between TLR expressions with AD clinical severity and with serum interleukin (IL) 4, IL-10, and IL-17a levels.

Background: There is no currently no information regarding the role of α-defensins in the pathophysiology of atopic dermatitis (AD).
Aim: To investigate levels of plasma α-defensins at exacerbation and remission of AD, and to assess their association with clinical severity of AD.
Methods: Patients with AD during exacerbation were recruited from the Dermatology department at the Chita Medical Academy (Chita, Russian Federation).
Moderate exogenous hyperhomocysteinemia is associated with an increase in lymphocyte count (mainly at the expense of cytotoxic T cells), a 2-fold drop of the immunoregulatory index, and increase in TNF-α, IFN-γ, and IL-17α concentrations in the serum and in mononuclear cells. Homocysteine concentration in the mononuclears remains unchanged.

Objective: We assessed blood ET-1 levels during the exacerbation of AD and during the 4 months postexacerbation period, to assess the relationships between blood ET-1 levels and clinical severity of AD and pruritus.
Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome was reproduced in the non-linear male rats by the original method. The animals were injected lysate 45-55 thousand rat neutrophils in 0.2 mi 0.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLung paraffin sections were studied in 35 patients who had died during the epidemic of A/H1N1 influenza, including 10, 16, and 9 persons diagnosed with exudative, proliferative, and fibrotic stages of acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), respectively. Lung tissue factor (TF) expression was determined in the sections by immunohistochemistry. TF was found to express endothelium, neutrophils, macrophages, type II alveolocytes, and bronchial and metaplastic epithelia.

In oral and gingival fluids sIgA autoantibodies to the same antigens were found. It was suggested that these autoantibodies can eliminate HSP-70 pro-inflammatory cytokines, thus regulating their levels in the inflammation area.

The authors present a method for experimental reproduction of stages of the acute respiratory distress syndrome development, including the initial stage - acute pulmonary injury. Concentrated neutrophil transmitters served as the factor triggering the development of the process. The adequacy of the model was confirmed by the clear-cut morphological stages of the process.

In each stage of the syndrome, immunohistochemistry was used to determine the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2) and tissue inhibitor type 2 (MIMP-2) by lung cells. It was found that there was a substantial increment of MMP-2 expression in the fibroblasts, macrophages, endothelium, and fibroblasts in the exudative stage of ARDS.

The study demonstrated that induction of bioregulative therapy leads to faster normalization of main indicators of SIRS and plasma fibrinolitic activity and eliminates hypercoagulation.

It was shown that higher content was noted in the group of patients with a complicated course. The use of traditional methods resulted in the decreased level of HSP-70 but in the group of patients with a complicated course the concentrations of shaperons remains elevated.

It was shown that both vasomotor and chronic hypertrophic rhinitides are characterized by a similar (two-fold) rise in the serum ET-1 concentration. The six-fold increase of the ET-1 level in nasal secretion in chronic hypertrophic rhinitis compared with the respective normal parameter exceeds that in the vasomotor form of this pathology.

Local anti-inflammatory therapy of chronic periodontitis does not restore normal immunity status. Appearance of antibodies to HSP plays a role in immune reactions, which maintain chronic inflammation of periodontium.
