A 27-year-old man presenting with recurrent meningitis associated with the activation of hepatitis was reported. Although he showed headache only, he was diagnosed as viral meningitis with high transaminase activities on admission. Human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6) DNA was revealed in the liver tissue by the polymerase chain reaction.
