Aim: To study social-psychological predictors of different types of addictive behavior.

Material And Methods: Thirty-six patients, aged 22-50 years, with different addictions (nicotine dependence, alcohol dependence, drug dependence, Internet addiction, extreme sports addiction) were studied. The article is dedicated to analysis of psychological features of 152 women with coronary artery disease (CAD), who had had acute myocardial infarction and had begun sanatorium rehabilitation in Belokurikha sanatorium. The role of the neurophysiological method of bioadaptive regulation in improvement of the efficacy of early post-infarction rehabilitation and secondary CAD prophylaxis in women with alexithymia was evaluated. The authors make their conclusion on the basis of clinico-functional and psychological studies and statistical evaluation of the data received in the course of the study.

The authors describe psychic phenomena observed in healthy humans that may resemble psychopathological ones. Some styles of thinking may look like an inclination to empty philosophizing; some states observed in persons with creative mode of thinking may resemble autism; normal ambivalence is similar to ambivalence as a pathological symptom. The authors stress the necessity of comparative studies of psychopathological and normal psychological phenomena.

An analysis of the clinical picture and development of acute alcoholic psychosis in 300 inhabitants of the North Region permitted to distinguish some traits of these conditions. Psychoses were characterized by an expressed atypicity of the psychopathological picture, somato-vegetative disorders, a complication of the development of the psychoses in comparison with the inhabitants of the middle latitudes. The authors also distinguished some differences in the predilectiveness of some syndromes or symptoms, the character and content of them in alcoholic psychoses in natives and newcomers.
