As many as 101 parkinsonism patients were examined. The mean patients' age was 50 years. Of these, 46 patients (12 with left-handed clinical manifestations of parkinsonism, 17 with right-handed, 17 with bilateral ones) were subjected to comprehensive examinations -- clinical, electrophysiological and psychomotor.

It has been found that parkinsonism is necessarily associated with vegetative disorders which are pronounced to a greater degree in right-handed patients and bilateral clinical manifestations of the syndrome.
