However, the outcomes of pediatric GCTs in Vietnam remain unclear. This study aims to evaluate the clinical features, treatment modalities, and prognostic factors associated with survival outcomes in children with GCTs treated at Children's Hospital Number 2 (CH2) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive analysis was done on the mandibular third molars of 37 people (≥ 18 years old, 28 males, and 9 females) who needed a coronectomy and had a confirmed diagnosis of IAN in groups I, II, and III according to the classification of Q. Luo 2018, as found by CBCT.

Eccrine angiomatous hamartoma (EAH) is a rare benign vascular lesion that is distinguished histologically by vascular and eccrine overgrowth. We report the case of a 46-year-old woman with EAH who was successfully treated with multimodal incobotulinum toxin A, pulsed dye laser and long-pulsed neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet laser.

Characteristics of lung cancer screening eligible population in the US and prediction of the eligibility with simplified criteria.

Background: In 2021, updates to the lung cancer screening (LCS) guidelines extended the eligibility to include younger individuals and those with lower lifetime smoking intensity. A significant challenge in the LCS implementation is identifying eligible individuals because lifetime smoking intensity, a key criterion of current guidelines, is typically unavailable in electronic health records and difficult to assess accurately. This study aimed to (I) examine the characteristics of the eligible population in the US based on current guidelines and (II) evaluate the performance of five simplified criteria as alternative tools for predicting LCS eligibility.

Management of Pediatric Supracondylar Humerus Fractures Using Lateral Cross-Wiring Technique Under Fluoroscopic Guidance.

Base-pairing of uracil and 2,6-diaminopurine: from cocrystals to photoreactivity.

We show that the non-canonical nucleobase 2,6-diaminopurine (D) spontaneously base pairs with uracil (U) in water and the solid state without the need to be attached to the ribose-phosphate backbone. Depending on the reaction conditions, D and U assemble in thermodynamically stable hydrated and anhydrated D-U base-paired cocrystals. Under UV irradiation, an aqueous solution of D-U base-pair undergoes photochemical degradation, while a pure aqueous solution of U does not.

Background: Although many nursing programs include health equity in their curriculum, research investigating the efficacy of such curricula often is lacking.

Method: Using criterion sampling, school of nursing alumni who could speak about their graduate preparation and current experiences working with diverse patient populations were recruited for this study. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 22 alumni regarding their curricular, clinical, and co-curricular experiences as graduate students to better understand the strengths and gaps in their preparation as health professionals.

Variable antiviral activity of islatravir against M184I/V mutant HIV-1 selected during antiretroviral therapy.

Background: Islatravir is a new antiretroviral drug that inhibits the reverse transcriptase (RT) of HIV-1 through multiple mechanisms. It is proposed to be used in combination with doravirine, a new NNRTI. M184V/I mutations have been shown to reduce the in vitro antiviral activity of islatravir, but their effect when pre-selected during ART has not been investigated.

Immune checkpoint inhibitor-induced lichenoid drug eruption-sparing scar burns.

The authors present a striking case of a patient experiencing a lichenoid drug eruption secondary to immunotherapy, curiously sparing scarred skin from past burns. We observed vastly higher amounts of inflammatory lymphoid cells staining for PD-1; 70% in skin with a lichenoid drug reaction and 50% in scarred skin. The lack of a lichenoid reaction at sites of scarred skin may indicate that a basement membrane component may be causative for a lichenoid drug eruption.
