Background: The dural puncture epidural technique is a modification of the combined spinal-epidural technique. Data comparing the two techniques are limited. We performed this randomised study to compare the quality of labour analgesia following initiation of analgesia with the dural puncture epidural vs.

This is an extremely rare case of biliary peritonitis caused by rupture of the intrahepatic bile duct after ERCP.
Patient Concerns: A 63-year-old male underwent ERCP for common bile duct stones.
Objectives: We studied the immunogenicity after primary and booster vaccinations of the Abdala COVID-19 vaccine, a receptor-binding domain protein subunit vaccine, in Vietnamese people by determining the level of neutralization and cross-neutralization activities against the ancestral SARS-CoV-2 and its variants and SARS-CoV-1.
Methods: We performed a prospective observational study, enrolling adults aged 19-59 years in Dong Thap province, southern Vietnam, and collected blood samples from baseline until 4 weeks after the booster dose. We measured anti-nucleocapsid, anti-spike, and neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 and assessed the cross-neutralization against 14 SARS-CoV-2 variants and SARS-CoV-1.
Graphite is a versatile material used in various fields, particularly in the power source manufacturing industry. Nowadays, graphite holds a unique position in materials for anode electrodes in lithium-ion batteries. With a carbon content of over 99% being a requirement for graphite to serve as an electrode material, the graphite refinement process plays a pivotal role in the research and development of anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.

In this study, using calculations based on density functional theory (DFT), we have comprehensively investigated the geometrical characteristics and stability of GaGeX monolayers (X = S, Se, or Te), determining their electronic and transport properties, and some essential optical and photocatalytic properties. AIMD simulations show that these materials are highly structurally and thermodynamically stable.

Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the component aspects of workplace wellbeing and their associations with demographic characteristics.
Purpose: To determine the 90% effective dose (ED) of intrathecal hyperbaric bupivacaine for Cesarean delivery under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia (CSE) in parturients with super obesity (body mass index [BMI] ≥ 50 kg·m).
Methods: We enrolled parturients with BMI ≥ 50 kg·m with term, singleton vertex pregnancies undergoing elective Cesarean delivery under CSE. An independent statistician generated the 0.
Introduction: There remains an increasing utilization of internet-based resources as a first line of medical knowledge. Among patients with cardiovascular disease, these resources often are relied upon for numerous diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. However, the reliability of this information is not fully understood.

A comprehensive analysis was conducted to examine the structural characteristics and stability of both compounds. It was observed that both SnSeP and SnSeAs exhibit notable toughness and ductility, characterized by a Poisson's ratio ranging from 0.

Objectives: This study aimed to determine the rate and factors associated with complete and timely vaccination in 2-year-old children, as well as maternal knowledge on expanded vaccination in Go Cong Tay district, Tien Giang province, Vietnam.
Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 558 2-year-old children and their mothers residing in Go Cong Tay district, Tien Giang province, Vietnam.
Nocardiosis in aquatic animals caused by Nocardia seriolae is a frequently occurring serious infection that has recently spread to many countries. In this study, DNA vaccines containing potential bacterial antigens predicted using the reverse vaccinology approach were developed and evaluated in orange-spotted groupers. In silico analysis indicated that proteins including cholesterol oxidase, ld-transpeptidase, and glycosyl hydroxylase have high immunogenicity and are potential vaccine candidates.

Here, we sought to determine the incidence of childhood exposure to S. sonnei infection in a contemporary transitional LMIC population, where it represents the dominant Shigella species.

ANNs have thus drawn attention in neuroscience, raising the possibility of providing a framework for understanding the information encoded in the human brain. However, the correspondence between ANNs and the brain cannot be measured directly.

Introduction: Hypertension, a major health concern, is associated with significant mortality and disease burden worldwide, including Vietnam. Comprehensive interventions targeting medication, lifestyle modifications, dyslipidemia (DLP), and microalbuminuria (MAU) are vital for effective hypertension management and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease complications (CDV). While medication interventions have proven efficacy, the evidence regarding the effectiveness of community-based health education interventions in managing DLP and MAU is limited.

Yet, they can also act as a cellular niche for intracellular bacteria, such as Salmonella enterica, to persist in infected tissues. Macrophages exhibit heterogeneous activation or polarization, states that are linked to differential antibacterial responses and bacteria permissiveness.

Unfortunately, serious damages could be concentrated to the pinhole and/or pore locations in the porous organic film, resulting in the localized corrosion even when an optimal concentration of organic corrosion inhibitors is used. In this work, SnO nanoparticles are used for producing the more robust barrier layer via the self-migration of nanoparticles, resulting in a higher corrosion resistance, smooth and uniform protective layer, as well as the existence of SnO in the protective layer that could directly affect the high inhibition performance.

Objectives: To report on the usability, safety, symmetry, and effectiveness of hyaluronic acid (HA) injected between the prostate and the rectum for patients undergoing treatment for prostate cancer with external beam radiotherapy (EBRT), and present a novel definition of rectal spacer symmetry that is reproducible and independent of patient anatomy.
Patients And Methods: 102 consecutive patients with clinical stage of T1c-3b prostate cancer underwent general anaesthesia for fiducial marker insertion and injection of HA into the perirectal space before EBRT. HA safety, symmetry, separation, and usability based on user experience were assessed.
