Thiocarboxamide chelates are known to assemble [2Mn2S] diamond core complexes via μ-S bridges that connect two Mn(CO) fragments. Drought is one of the common natural disasters with a wide range of occurrences in terms of space and time, and with varying levels of severity, that may result in economic damage and health issues to humans. This study focuses on assessing drought severity in the Central Highlands of Vietnam based on ground meteorological stations and multispectral remote sensing data. A Modification of the Normalized Difference Drought Index (MNDDI) was developed to enhance the effectiveness of remote sensing indices in the drought assessment.

Introduction: Bilothorax is a rare and poorly documented condition in the medical literature, with following hepatobiliary procedures being the most common cause. We present a case of bilothorax following endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) for choledocholithiasis.

Introduction: Intrahepatic and extrahepatic lithiasis, a condition characterized by the presence of stones in the liver and bile ducts, is a common disease in Asia, particularly in East and Southeast Asia. Occasioned by the discovery of a ligand transfer from M(NS) to Mn in Mn(CO)Br, the resulting HNS ligand-tethered dimanganese complex, (μ-,'-ethylenebis(mercaptoacetamide))[Mn(CO)], was found to have myriad analogues of the type (μ-S-E)[Mn(CO)], making up an under-studied class containing MnS rhombs. The attempt to synthesize a nontethered version resulted in a solid-state structure in an -conformation. However, a direct comparison of the Fourier-transform infrared spectra of the tethered versus nontethered complexes in combination with theoretical frequency calculation suggested the coexistence of - and -isomers and their interconversion in solution.

This study aims at producing exopolysaccharides (EPS) from a lactic acid bacterial strain. The soybean whey-isolated W1 (EPS-W1), which belongs to genus , is identified using the phenylalanyl-tRNA sequencing method. Of all the examined strains, R-49778 (as numbered by BCCM/LMG Bacteria Collection, Ghent University, Belgium) showed the highest capability of producing exopolysaccharides.

This study provides evidence on the frequency-based dependency networks of various financial assets in the tails of return distributions given the extreme price movements under the exceptional circumstance of the Covid-19 pandemic, qualified by the IMF as the Great Lockdown. Our results from the quantile cross-spectral analysis and tail-dependency networks show increases in the network density in both lower and upper joint distributions of asset returns. Particularly, we observe an asymmetric impact of the Covid-19 because the left-tail dependencies become stronger and more prevalent than the right-tail dependencies.

A lactic acid bacteria strain, with high EPS production ability, was isolated from fermented bamboo shoots. This strain, R-49757, was identified in the BCCM/LMG Bacteria Collection, Ghent University, Belgium by the phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase gene sequencing method, and it was named MC3.
