Hypothalamopituitarythyroid system was studied using radioiodine tests, radioimmunoassay in 268 patients with neurocirculatory dystonia (NCD). Tissue, humoral immunity and nonspecific resistance of the body were assessed clinicoimmunologically. It is shown that eradication of chronic infection foci in NCD patients promoted positive changes in thyroid absorption, immune reactions and clinical condition.

This article is based on the examination of 850 patients with acute transmural myocardial infarction, including 48 fatal cases in the result of external cardiac rupture. Immunological and biochemical indices of all patients have shown a high rate of necrotic processes in cardiac muscle in cases of heart rupture. The authors disclose the risk factors of cardiorrhexis and give recommendations for its prophylaxis.

We report the measurements of picometer vibration amplitudes produced by a piezo mirror in an interferometric setup, using a GaAs:Cr photoconductive device. The moving light fringes (gratings) induce in this new detector periodic photocurrents characterized by efficient suppression of the low-frequency drifts of the working point and low sensitivity to the amplitude laser noise. The optimum operation conditions of this system are also shown.

Cytophotometric analysis with the use of autologous erythrocytes showed that T lymphocytes had the lowest RNA content and poorly differentiated lymphocytes had the highest RNA content, while in B cells an intermediate RNA level was observed, thus, the relative content of RNA could indicate to which particular system different peripheral blood cells belonged. In active infectious process, irrespective of the etiology of the disease, a decrease in both relative and absolute amounts of T lymphocytes and an increase in the amounts of poorly differentiated and B lymphocytes were observed.
