Ultrasound in pediatric orbital cellulitis.

Orbital cellulitis is an infrequent but serious complication of sinus infections in children, as was the case of a 7-year-old who presented to the emergency room with ultrasound signs of preseptal cellulitis. Despite a well conducted antibiotic treatment a control ultrasound demonstrated associated signs of retro-septal extension. This case brings to light the essential role of ultrasound in suspected cellulitis, as a mean to differentiate between preseptal cellulitis and retroseptal (orbital) cellulitis.

Solitary fibrous tumor of the kidney.

Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is an unusual spindle cell neoplasm rarely described in the kidney. Usually occurring in the pleura, it has also been described in various extrapleural sites. We report a rare case of SFT of the kidney fortuitously found in a 55-year-old patient.

Trigeminal melanoma metastasis.

We present the case of a 70-year-old patient presented to our institution for paresthesia of the right hemiface associated with dysarthria in aggravation since 1 year. He was diagnosed with right trigeminal melanoma metastasis. This case is characterized by a thickening of the right trigeminal nerve from his cisternal segment to his mandibular branch V3.
