This paper summarizes the case of a patient admitted to the hospital due to methotrexate-induced colitis in the setting of pancytopenia. Although methotrexate is commonly used for a variety of diseases, this medication can precipitate side effects in a subset of patients. This is an atypical case of chronic low-dose methotrexate use leading to colitis and pancytopenia.
