Venous malformations are low flow endothelial malformations with aberrant and ectatic venous channels. They are defects in vascular growth which causes functional and cosmetic impairment. Gradual growth in size of the lesion occurs due to venous congestion or thrombosis.

Extraskeletal Myxoid Chondrosarcoma of Floor of Mouth-A Rare Case Report and Review of Literature.

Introduction: Chondrosarcomas are rare malignancies of the cartilage and myxoid chondrosarcoma is its variant which commonly occurs in soft tissue of extremities. Extraskeletal chondrosarcoma is a rare malignant neoplasm of bone or soft tissue origin and is characterized by the presence of spindle cells admixed with well differentiated cartilage or chondroid stroma. They are mostly radioresistant tumours and surgical resections with adequate margins is considered as the ideal treatment modality with adjuvant radiotherapy in high grade tumours and add on chemotherapy, in case of presence of poor prognostic factors.

A retrospective epidemiological review of maxillofacial injuries in a tertiary care centre in Goa, India.

Purpose: Trauma accounts for the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide in the present day and may rightly be called the new pandemic. The prominent nature of the face exposes it to various traumatic injuries. A timely, prompt diagnosis along with employment of correct and quick treatment greatly improves the outcome for these patients.

Pattern of associated brain injury in maxillofacial trauma: a retrospective study from a high-volume centre.

The incidence of head injury in maxillofacial trauma patients varies widely in the literature. A good understanding of the patterns of association between these injuries would aid in efficient multidisciplinary treatment. Intra-alveolar extraction of linguoverted mandibular premolars - the Shetye technique: a technical note.

Extraction of premolars for orthodontic purposes may prove challenging when the tooth is blocked or lingualised. The standard buccal approach may prove difficult in such cases. A novel technique was used for 16 patients with healthy linguoverted mandibular premolars using maxillary extraction forceps.

Infantile osteomyelitis is a rare disease that is infective in nature and may rapidly turn fatal, as the disease is often misdiagnosed due to its varied presenting signs. Early diagnosis may help in avoiding systemic involvement and permanent deformity. The disease presents with signs of orbital involvement, nasal congestion, and emesis, as well as other standard hallmarks of infection.

Ocular Outcomes of Maxillofacial Trauma - A Decennary Descriptive Study.

Objective: The present study was conducted to determine the occurrence of concomitant orbital and ocular injuries amongst patients with maxillofacial trauma, and also helps in deriving a correlation between different patterns of maxillofacial fractures.
