Background: We aimed to compare the agreement between two common frailty assessment tools, Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) and Hospital Frailty Risk Score (HFRS), and their ability to predict mid-term adverse outcomes in older patients admitted with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
Methods: We conducted a prospective analysis of patients aged ≥ 60 admitted with ACS at multiple centers in Vietnam between July 2022 and June 2023. A cross-tabulation method was used to describe the correlation between CFS and HFRS.
Aims: This study aimed to assess medication adherence among older people with coronary heart disease and its relationship with hospitalizations.
Methods: This is a prospective cohort study conducted at the outpatient clinics of a major hospital in Vietnam from November 2022 to June 2023. Consecutive older patients with coronary heart disease were recruited and followed for 6 months.
This research evaluated the effect of different levels of extrusion process energy during the production of wheat and sorghum-based feeds on the growth performance and digestibility of Pacific white shrimp (). Process energy consisted of mechanical and thermal components, which were both modulated via varying preconditioner steam addition. Diets were formulated to be isonitrogenous (36% protein) and isolipidic (8% fat), with three levels of thermal energy (TE) input during preconditioning (high, medium, and low).

Sarcopenia, serving as a prognostic indicator, is related to disability, diminished quality of life, and increased mortality. The SARC-F questionnaire, known for its cost-effectiveness, offers a valuable means of assessing sarcopenia.

This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of infection, co-infection with other sexually transmitted organisms, and the frequency of macrolide antibiotic resistance genotypes identified in urethral specimens collected from male and urethral, vaginal and cervical specimens from female who visited the STIs clinic of HCMC Hospital of Dermato-Venereology, Vietnam. The results obtained positive samples for was 8.

A Monte Carlo approach was used for the sensitivity analysis of the AI models and input parameters. For the construction and validation of the models, 189 soft clayey soil samples were analyzed.

The optimized material showed a broad absorption in the region of 350 to 670 nm and the luminescence quenching higher 85%. The obtained results provide further insight into photophysics of the heterojunction system and device performance improvement by using this system as an active layer.

In studies of recognition memory, the capacity for recognizing a noun in a scrambled sentence decreases following the recognition that another noun has occurred before in the scrambled sentence (Dopkins & Ngo, 2002). The results of the present study suggest that these two phenomena reflect the same recognition memory process.

The stimulus material for demonstrating the phenomenon was a list of words of different syntactic types. A word from the list was recognized less well following a decision that a word of the same type had occurred in the list than following a decision that such a word had not occurred in the list.

One of the characteristic features of IncHI1 plasmids is a thermosensitive process of conjugation, which is optimal between 22 degrees C and 30 degrees C but inhibited at 37 degrees C. R27, the prototypical IncHI1 plasmid, contains transfer genes clustered in two regions of the plasmid, Tra1 and Tra2. In the present study, transcriptional analyses of the tra genes were undertaken at both 30 degrees C and 37 degrees C.

In Experiment 1, AD patients listed fewer features for a set of concepts than did healthy older adults and were more deficient at listing features if the features were distinctive to particular concepts than if they were shared by multiple concepts. In Experiment 2, AD patients showed online priming at levels of relatedness at which healthy older adults did not.

In total, the MICs for 37% of tetracycline-resistant isolates (256 to 512 microg/ml) were higher than those previously reported in C. jejuni (64 to 128 microg/ml).
