The reaction of preassembled Cu(I) bimetallic units {Cu(dppm)} and {Cu(dppa)} (dppm: bis(diphenylphosphino)methane and dppa: bis(diphenylphosphino)amine) with pseudohalide linkers (azido, dicyanamide, and tricyanomethanide) allows for the quantitative and selective preparation of three discrete tetrametallic metallacycles of formula [Cu(μ-dppm)(N)](PF), [Cu(μ-dppm)(N(CN))](PF), and [Cu(μ-dppm)(C(CN))]. To explore further the impact of the linker on the architecture and dimensionality of the molecular edifice, the study was extended to more sophisticated tetradentate cyanocarbanion ligands (tcnsMe: 2-(methylthio)-1,1,3,3-propanetetracarbonitrile and tcnsEt: 2-(ethylthio)-1,1,3,3-propanetetracarbonitrile). Three ladder-like one-dimensional coordination polymers and an octametallic metallacycle have been obtained.

Methods: Respiratory samples were gathered from both outpatients and inpatients meeting ILI or SARI case definitions.
Background: Morocco is actively working towards expanding its influenza vaccine policy to cover high-risk groups, as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Aims: We assessed the risk factors for influenza-associated hospitalization for severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) that occurred during the last 5 seasons.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective, analytical study among patients recruited in the ambulatory and hospital sites of the influenza sentinel surveillance system in Morocco between 2014 and 2019.
The main aim of this research is to investigate the trend of influenza infection among children under 5 years with severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) as well as those who suffer from a high burden of disease. This research is based on a survey conducted from September 2017 to March 2019. During this period nasopharyngeal swabs were collected in a group of 942 children under 5 years with SARI, admitted in pediatric services of 8 sentinel hospitals.

Objective: This study will provide us an overview of hypertension (HTN) management in Tunisia and the degree of adherence of practitioners to international recommendations.
Methods: This is a national observational cross-sectional multicenter study that will include patients older than 18 years with HTN for a duration of 4 weeks, managed in the public sector from primary and secondary care centers as well as patients managed in the private sector.
Background: There is a scarcity of information on the viral aetiology of influenza-like illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infection (SARI) among patients in Morocco.
Methods: From September 2014 to December 2016, we prospectively enrolled inpatients and outpatients from all age groups meeting the World Health Organization (WHO) case definition for ILI and SARI from 59 sentinel sites. The specimens were tested using real-time monoplex reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction method for detecting 16 relevant respiratory viruses.
The rupture of mitral papillary muscles is a very rare complication of infective endocarditis (IE). We report a case of anterolateral papillary muscle rupture resulting in severe mitral regurgitation due to IE in a young man without previous heart disease. The patient underwent urgent mitral valve replacement.

Methods: Nature HTN is an observational multicentric survey, including hypertensive individuals and consulting their doctors during the period of the study.

Introduction: Despite therapeutic progress, less than half of hypertensive patients are controlled. The objective of this study was to examine the links between blood pressure control and socioeconomic factors.
Methods: We used data collected in the cardiology department of Sfax University Hospital as part of the Tunisian national hypertension registry.
Two new mononuclear Fe(II) polymorphs, [(CH)N][Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] () and [(CH)N][Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] () (pyC-OEt = tris(pyridin-2-yl)ethoxymethane), have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, by magnetic and photomagnetic measurements, and by detailed variable-temperature infrared spectroscopy. The molecular structure, in both complexes, is composed of the same anionic [Fe(pyC-OEt)(NCS)] complex (two units for and one unit for ) generated by coordination to the Fe(II) metal center of one tridentate pyC-OEt tripodal ligand and three terminal κ-SCN coligands. Magnetic studies revealed that polymorph displays a high-spin (HS) state over the entire studied temperature range (300-10 K), while complex exhibits an abrupt and complete spin crossover (SCO) transition at ca.

It is rare to see heart block as the first-and-only presentation of infectious myocarditis. We report the case of a young healthy patient who presented with syncope secondary to a complete heart block.

This was first emerged in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, and then has become widespread all over the world. We report 3 cases (2 imported cases and 1 local case) with documented viral shedding (based on reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing) of SARS-CoV-2 for 55, 59 and 63 days.

We compared the results of two methods and explored how they worked to characterize the 2018 influenza season performance-2018 season.
Methods: Historical data from the 2005/2006 to 2016/2018 influenza season performance seasons were provided by a network of 412 primary health centers in charge of influenza like illness (ILI) sentinel surveillance.
A full-length cDNA encoding digestive lipase (SmDL) was cloned from the pancreas of the smooth-hound (). The obtained cDNA was 1350 bp long encoding 451 amino acids. The deduced amino acid sequence has high similarity with known pancreatic lipases.

Owing to its ability to rapidly evolve and spread, the influenza virus is of global public health importance. Information on the burden, seasonality and risk factors of influenza in countries of the World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Region is emerging because of collaborative efforts between countries, WHO and its partners over the past 10 years.

The interplay between SCO and light emission properties in the thermal region of the spin transition was investigated by means of magnetic, fluorescence, optical absorption and optical microscopy measurements on a single crystal. Overall, the results show an excellent correlation between fluorescence and magnetic data of the present gradual transition, indicating an extreme sensitivity of the optical activity of the ligand to the spin state of the active iron(ii) ions.

The [{Fe(tpc-OMe)(NCS)(μ-NCS)} ] (1) compound was prepared using the tridentate tpc-OMe ligand (tpc-OMe = tris(2-pyridyl)methoxymethane), FeCl·4HO, and the KSCN salt. Crystallographic investigations revealed that the Fe(II) ions are connected by a single bridging NCS ligand (μ-κN:κS-SCN coordination mode) to afford a zigzag neutral chain running along the [010] direction, in which the thiocyanato bridging groups adopt a cis head-to-tail configuration.
