CIC fusion-positive sarcoma of the spermatic cord.

In addition to germ cell tumors and tumors of the sex cord stroma, the WHO classification of testis and paratesticular tumors also contains malignant soft tissue tumors. Among them, liposarcomas of the spermatic cord are the most common entities. Other mesenchymal tumors with smooth muscle, skeletal muscle, fibroblastic/myofibroblastic, or nerve sheath differentiation are rare.

Management of recurrence from a retroperitoneal xanthogranuloma: case report.

Xanthogranulomas from the retroperitoneal space are rare. To our knowledge only a few cases have been reported in the literature in the retroperitoneal space. In this report, the authors present the case of a 24-year-old woman with a recurrence of this rare tumor.

[Bilateral ovarian metastases of intestinal adenocarcinoma as an accidental result in macroscopic inconspicuous ovaries - a case report].

We here report the incidental histological diagnosis of bilateral ovarial metastasis of a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. The patient involved had undergone a vaginal hysterectomy with frontal and rear colporrhaphy on account of uterine and vaginal prolapse, and had requested a further "prophylactic adnexectomy". During the subsequent search for the primary tumor, a localised gastric carcinoma was diagnosed, concealed in the antrum.

Experimental evaluation of the dialdehyde starch preserved bovine internal mammary artery as a small diameter arterial substitute.

A canine femoral artery model was used for evaluation of a dialdehyde starch preserved bovine internal mammary artery (BIMA) (3 and 4 mm internal diameter) in comparison to a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) graft. The study comprised three groups for a 2-hour (n = 7, 3 mm), 3-month (n = 10, 4 mm), and 6-month (n = 10, 4 mm) follow-up. The thrombogenicity of the grafts was measured after 2 hours and 3 months using chromium 51 labeled autologous platelets.
