Women with class III obesity have an increased risk of cesarean delivery and have wound complication rates higher than healthy body mass index counterparts. Soy constituents and various chemical forms of Se have each been shown to downregulate expression of the androgen receptor (AR) and AR-regulated genes in the prostate.
