Modification of the single-tube radial forearm phalloplasty technique to allow for urinary meatal reconstruction: A report of two cases.

The free radial forearm flap is the gold standard technique for transgender phalloplasty due to superior complication rates compared to other methods. However, reconstruction of the urinary tract, including urethral lengthening and creation of a pars pendula urethra within the flap, carries a high rate of complications. The risk of complications and a lack of desire for standing urination are reasons patients elect for single-tube phalloplasty.
