The protective or pathogenic role of T lymphocytes during the acute phase of dengue virus (DENV) infection has not been fully understood despite its importance in immunity and vaccine development. This study aimed to clarify the kinetics of T lymphocyte subsets during the clinical course of acute dengue patients. Apoptosis related mediators, among others, are known to correlate with severe dengue (SD) although no predictive validity is established. Purpose: Following interventions against trachoma in Viet Nam, impact surveys conducted in 2003-2011 suggested that trachoma was no longer a public health problem. In 2014, we undertook surveillance surveys to estimate prevalence of trachomatous inflammation-follicular (TF) and trichiasis.
Methods: A population-based prevalence survey was undertaken in 11 evaluation units (EUs) encompassing 24 districts, using Global Trachoma Mapping Project methods.
Accurate step counting is essential for indoor positioning, health monitoring systems, and other indoor positioning services. There are several publications and commercial applications in step counting. Nevertheless, over-counting, under-counting, and false walking problems are still encountered in these methods.

Although mast cell mediators are believed to a play role in dengue severity, the lack of precise kinetic data demands further research on early predictors. We enrolled 111 patients with confirmed dengue and 85 with "other febrile illness" (OFI) in a hospital-based prospective study in Vietnam.
