Article Synopsis
  • - Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), a viral condition affecting cattle, has spread across Asia since its emergence in October 2020, causing economic losses in regions like Vietnam.
  • - The study collected blood samples from 180 cattle in the Mekong Delta to analyze the LSD virus and its genetic material, specifically the GPCR gene, to understand its evolutionary relationship with other strains.
  • - Results showed that LSDV was present in 8.33% of the samples, revealing genetic similarities with strains from China and Northern Vietnam, suggesting that regional monitoring and control measures are crucial for effective disease management.

Background: Chicken infectious anemia (CIA) caused by the CIA virus (CIAV) is considered one of the most important immunosuppressive diseases affecting chickens and recently poses a great economic burden to the poultry industry worldwide.

Aim: This study aims to identify the presence of CIAV in the Mekong Delta (MD), Vietnam, and to determine genotypes of CIAVs that are currently circulating in this area.

Methods: Organ samples (spleen, liver, and thymus) of 144 chickens suspected with CIA from 47 poultry farms were collected.

We present a theory of phonon-drag thermopower,Sxxg, in MoSmonolayer at a low-temperature regime in the presence of a quantizing magnetic field. Our calculations forSxxgconsider the electron-acoustic phonon interaction via deformation potential (DP) and piezoelectric (PE) couplings for longitudinal (LA) and transverse (TA) phonon modes. The unscreened TA-DP is found to dominateSxxgover other mechanisms.

Avian pathogenic (APEC) is the main causative agent of avian colibacillosis, which is an important systemic disease of profound economic and clinical consequences for the poultry industry worldwide. In this study, 975 strains were isolated from 2,169 samples collected from cloacal swabs of chickens, in-farm wild animals (ants, geckos, flies, and rats), and environment. The highest proportion of isolation was obtained from chicken cloacal swabs with 71.

Goose hemorrhagic polyomavirus (GHPV) is the viral agent of hemorrhagic nephritis enteritis of geese (HNEG), a lethal disease of goslings. Although death is the most common outcome, geese that recover from HNEG are persistently infected. Here, we present the development of real-time SYBR Green real-time PCR targeted to GHPV and its use to assess the prevalence of GHPV infection in French geese flocks.

Angioimmunoblastic T cell lymphoma (AITL) is a distinct subtype of peripheral T cell lymphoma characterized by generalized lymphadenopathy and frequent autoimmune-like manifestations. Although frequent mutations in TET2, IDH2 and DNMT3A, which are common to various hematologic malignancies, have been identified in AITL, the molecular pathogenesis specific to this lymphoma subtype is unknown. Here we report somatic RHOA mutations encoding a p.
