Materials And Methods: A total of 57 patients (62 knees) treated with MCW-DFO between 1984 and 2018 were included in the study. Patient age at the time of the surgery ranged between 28 and 61 years (average: 48 years).
Purpose: The treatment of osteochondral lesions is challenging and no consensus has been established about the best option for restoring both cartilage and subchondral bone. Multilayer collagen-hydroxyapatite scaffolds have shown promising clinical results, but the outcome at a follow-up longer than 5 years still has to be proved. The aim was to evaluate the clinical outcome of patients with a knee isolated osteochondral lesion treated with a biomimetic three-layered scaffold at a minimum 5 years of follow-up.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine whether posterior tibial slope (PTS), meniscal slope (MS), and bone bruise pattern (BBP), as observed on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), differed between patients with or without medial meniscus ramp lesions at the time of anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). The hypothesis was that patients with a ramp lesion had a higher PTS and MS, with a different BBP than patients without a ramp lesion.
Methods: Fifty-six patients undergoing ACLR were selected from an in-house registry and separated into 2 groups: (1) the RAMP group included patients with a primary ACLR and a medial meniscus ramp lesion diagnosed intraoperatively; (2) the CONTROL group included patients with a primary ACLR without ramp lesion after arthroscopic exploration of the posteromedial knee area.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the correlation between posterior tibial slope and meniscal slope over postoperative anterior tibial translation during the first 18 months after primary anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. The main hypothesis was that PTS and MS would be positively correlated with post-operative ATT-SSD after ACL reconstruction.
Methods: Patients (28 males and 15 females) with confirmed ACL tears were selected from an in-house registry and included if they were over 16 years old, had primary ACL-reconstruction and healthy contralateral knee.
Background: Knee cartilage defects can be retrieved in 60% of patients undergoing knee arthroscopy, especially in the patellofemoral joint. Different techniques have been proposed to treat patellar defects, although most of them are associated with short-term results. In this study Autologous Matrix Induced Chondrogenesis (AMIC), combining subchondral microfractures with a collagen membrane (type I and III collagen), was used in the treatment of isolated patellar cartilage defects.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the long-term clinical and radiological outcomes of patients who underwent closing-wedge High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO) for the treatment of medial compartment osteoarthritis and to evaluate the conversion rate to knee arthroplasty.
Methods: A retrospective, non-randomized, monocentric study was performed in our Institution considering 166 patients between 1989 and 2012. The final population was composed by 82 patients (94 knees), median age at time of operation was 53 (range 45-73) years.
This article verifies the effectiveness of a new brace on patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) in adjunct to a specifically developed rehabilitation program. Two groups of 30 patients with PFPS were prospectively and randomly allocated to a rehabilitation protocol, with (group A) or without (group B) the use of a specific brace. All the patients were assessed at 3, 6, and 12 months using the disease-specific Kujala scale and a visual analog scale (VAS) for pain; time to return to sport and patient satisfaction with the brace were also recorded.
