A decade of hospital discharges related to eosinophilic esophagitis.

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a recently characterized chronic, allergic, gastrointestinal disorder. Using the Pediatric Health Information System, we report trends in diagnostic codes related to EoE in inpatients from 1999 through 2010. Esophagitis not elsewhere classifiable, EoE, and dysphagia have increased over time.
