Background And Purpose: Albuminuria, a marker of chronic kidney disease, is associated with an increased risk of incident stroke and unfavorable long-term outcomes. However, the association of albuminuria with short-term outcomes and change in infarct volume in patients with acute small subcortical infarction remains unknown.

Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis is a rare neurological disorder that frequently precedes the detection of malignancy. We report the case of a 68-year-old male with small-cell lung cancer who developed paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis associated with presence of the anti-Hu antibody, after achieving complete remission of the tumor by chemotherapy. The patient visited our hospital because of progressive sensory disturbance of the distal extremities at 65 years of age.

Background: Brain microbleeds (BMBs) detected on gradient echo T2*-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (GE-MRI) may be pathophysiologically linked to ischemic cerebral small-vessel disease (SVD) and increased risk of future hemorrhagic stroke.
