Traditional Korean medicine's pronounced impact on Japan came about as a result of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's war on Korea in the late 16th century. The influences of Korean medicine on Japan were caused by the introduction not only of a large number of medical books printed in the Yi dynasty and the techniques of publication but also those of the people of talent.
