Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study included 53 patients who were newly diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Demographic data and disease distribution were recorded, and disease activity was rated using the Simple Endoscopic Score for Crohn's Disease (SES-CD) and the Harvey Bradshaw Index (HBI).

Chronic fatigue is a common phenomenon in inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, in cancer, and in neurodegenerative diseases. Although pain and psychological factors influence fatigue, there is an increasing understanding that there is a genetic basis, and that activation of the innate immune system is an essential generator of fatigue. Methods: In a single-center cross-sectional study, we included patients with ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease who were receiving infliximab or adalimumab maintenance therapy.
