Clinical video teleconferencing (CVT) is a treatment delivery modality that can be used to provide services to clinical populations that experience barriers to accessing mental health care. Recently, home-based CVT (HBCVT) has been developed in order to deliver treatment via CVT to patients in their homes. A number of clinical considerations, including the appropriate clinical population and individual patient factors, need to be taken into account when delivering CVT.

Objectives: This study examined: (a) the relationship between self-reported posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms and risk of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in a younger, Iraq and Afghanistan (OEF/OIF/OND) veteran sample seeking treatment for PTSD; and (b) the relationships between PTSD symptom scores and each risk factor of OSA (snoring, fatigue, high blood pressure/BMI).

Many women have unidentified anxiety or trauma histories that can impact their health and medical treatment-seeking behavior. This study examined the sensitivity, specificity, efficiency, and sensitivity to change of the Overall Anxiety Severity and Impairment Scale (OASIS) for identifying an anxiety disorder in a female sample with and without trauma history related to intimate partner violence (IPV). Forty-three women with full or partial PTSD from IPV and 41 women without PTSD completed the OASIS.
