The horned-gall aphid, , is the most economically valuable Chinese gallnut aphid species, playing a decisive role in the production of Chinese gallnuts. The method of cultivating the gallnut species with artificial moss and increasing the yield of gallnuts after inoculation has been applied in the main producing areas of Chinese gallnuts. However, it is still unclear whether artificial cultivation affects the fecundity and gall-forming effect of .

In vivo, we employed auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing and ribbon synapses counting to assess changes in mouse hearing function, and observed the morphology of hair cells through scanning electron microscopy. SRT1720 was administered to the cochlea via round window injection.

Finding the perfect plant-derived biomass-based hydrogels for biomedicine that can replicate essential characteristics of human tissues in regard to structure, function, and performance has proved to be difficult. In this review, we summarize some of the major contributions made to this topic, covering basic ideas and different biomass-based hydrogels made of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin.

Patients with HHL do not have significant abnormalities in their hearing thresholds, but they experience impaired speech recognition in noisy environments. However, the mechanisms underlying HHL remain unclear.

Cholinium pyridinolate ionic pairs with three different substitution positions were designed. Under conditions of temperature of 120 °C, pressure of 1 MPa CO, and catalyst loading of 5 mol %, the optimal catalyst cholinium 4-pyridinolate ([Ch][4-OP]) was employed.

Recent inquiries have shed light on the pivotal roles of CXCL3 in the context of carcinogenesis. In the tumor microenvironment, CXCL3 emanating from both tumor and stromal cells intricately modulates cellular behaviors through autocrine and paracrine actions, primarily via interaction with its receptor CXCR2.

In Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS), the cobalt catalyst has higher C and lower CH selectivity in the hcp phase than in the fcc phase. However, a detailed explanation of the intrinsic mechanism is still missing. The underlying reason was explored combining density functional theory, Wulff construction, and a particle-level descriptor based on the slab model of surfaces that are prevalent in the Wulff shape to provide single-particle level understanding.

Elucidation of the residual characteristics of ARGs in livestock manure following the administration of veterinary antibiotics is critical to assess their ecotoxicological effects and environmental contamination risks. Here, we investigated the effects of enrofloxacin (ENR), a fluoroquinolone antibiotic commonly used as a therapeutic drug in animal husbandry, on the characteristics of ARGs, mobile genetic elements, and microbial community structure in swine manure following its intramuscular administration for 3 days and a withdrawal period of 10 days.

This study proposed a method for constructing and evaluating a vestibular SD mouse model, which adopted coupled rotational stimulation with visual occlusion. Physiological parameters were measured alongside behavioral indices to assess the model, and neuronal changes were observed through immunofluorescent staining.

NACC1 forms homo- or hetero-dimers through the BTB/POZ or BANP, E5R, and NACC1 (BEN) domain with other transcriptional regulators to regulate downstream signals. Recently, the overexpression of NACC1 has been observed in various tumors and is positively associated with tumor progression, high recurrence rate, indicating poor prognosis.

However, the underlying mechanism of CAA formation and its effects on the development of breast cancer are still unknown. Here, we show that CSF2 is highly expressed in both CAAs and breast cancer cells.

Organic-inorganic metal halides (OIMHs) have abundant optical properties and potential applications, such as light-emitting diodes, displays, solar cells, and photodetectors. Herein, we report zero-dimensional Mn-based OIMH (CHN)MnCl single crystals synthesized by a simple slow evaporation method, which exhibit intense green emission at 520 nm originating from T-A transition of Mn ions. Large organic cations in the crystal structure result in the isolated [MnCl] tetrahedrons, and the closest Mn-Mn distance reaches 9.

Low-dimensional metal halides are attractive for applications in photodetectors, solid-state lighting, and solar cells, but poor stability is an obstacle that must be overcome in commercial applications. Herein, we successfully synthesized a Ruddlesden-Popper (RP)-phased perovskite Mn:CsCdCl with high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) and outstanding thermal and environmental stability by a solvothermal method. The pristine sample CsCdCl exhibits a weak cyan broad emission centered at 510 nm with a low PLQY of ∼4%.
