Appendicitis is a common differential diagnosis of right lower quadrant pain. Clinical evaluation alone results in high negative appendicectomy rates. Alvarado scoring is the most commonly used clinical prediction rule.

Background: Chronic ulcers are a common problem, with chronic diabetic and venous ulcers forming a large proportion. This is the first case-control study to assess the effect of topical timolol on healing of chronic venous and chronic diabetic ulcers.
Methods: The study included 60 patients with chronic leg ulcers.
Background: The impact of laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) on various co-morbidities including type II diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and sleep apnea is well established. However, its effect on hypothyroidism has not been given due attention evidenced by the scant literature on the subject. The purpose of this report is to assess the change in thyroxine (T4) requirement in morbidly obese patients with clinical hypothyroidism after LSG.

Objective: In this study, for the first time, olfactory function has been assessed in the Indian Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (IPD) patients using an indigenously developed smell test.
Materials And Methods: Olfaction was assessed in 53 IPD patients and 50 healthy controls using SniffIn-sticks ® test and Indian Smell Identification test (INSIT).
