Changes in Community-Dwelling Elderly's Activity and Participation Affecting Depression during COVID-19 Pandemic: A Cross-Sectional Study.

We determined the changes in the activity or participation of the community-dwelling elderly in Japan during the COVID-19 pandemic and identified the activities leading to depression. This will allow us to evaluate rehabilitation interventions that can be used to minimize or eliminate the negative impact of COVID-19 on today's community-dwelling elderly. Herein, demographics, activity or participation (Activity Card Sort-Japan version: ACS-JPN), the number of social networks (Lubben Social Network Scale: LSNS), and depression (Geriatric Depression Scale: GDS) were examined in 74 community-dwelling elderly in Japan from August to October 2020.

Pilot study of CD147 protein expression in epithelial ovarian cancer using monoclonal antibody 12C3.

Aim: CD147 is a membrane glycoprotein that is expressed in various cancer cells and is involved in tumor invasion and metastasis by inducing stromal fibroblastic cells to produce matrix metalloproteinases. This study was carried out to evaluate the correlation between CD147 expression and various clinicopathologic parameters, including histological grade and prognosis in a small sample set of human ovarian cancer patients.

Material And Methods: Paraffin-embedded surgical tissue samples from 25 patients with ovarian serous and endometrioid adenocarcinoma were stained with anti-CD147 antibody (monoclonal antibody 12C3: MoAb 12C3) for immunohistochemical analysis.

Immunohistochemical analysis of reserve cell-like cells of ovarian müllerian mucinous/mixed epithelial borderline tumor.

Ovarian mucinous borderline tumor of müllerian type (MMBT) and mixed epithelial borderline tumor of müllerian type (MEBT) are uncommon subtypes of ovarian surface epithelial tumors. Both are often associated with endometriosis, but their histogenesis is still debated. We have noticed occasional foci of subepithelial cuboidal cells resembling uterine cervical reserve cells (RCs) in MMBTs/MEBTs, which have not been documented in the literature to the best of our knowledge.
