Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) interact closely with cancer cells, supporting their growth and invasion. To investigate the role of microRNA-21 (miR-21) in lung adenocarcinoma, and especially in its CAF component, in situ hybridisation was applied to samples from 89 invasive lung adenocarcinoma cases. MiR-21 expression was observed in both cancer cells and CAFs.

ABA HYPERSENSITIVE GERMINATION1 (AHG1) encoding a type 2C protein phosphatase (PP2C) is a central negative regulator of ABA response in germination; however, the molecular function and regulation of AHG1 remain elusive. Here we report that AHG1 interacts with DELAY OF GERMINATION1 (DOG1), which is a pivotal positive regulator in seed dormancy.
