Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is a rare syndrome characterized by a normochromic normocytic anemia and the absence of mature erythroid precursors in an otherwise normocellular bone marrow. Acquired PRCA has been associated with autoimmune, viral or neoplastic conditions. We report the case of a patient with B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL) and PRCA.
