Background: The intestinal microbiome has been recently linked to several metabolic and chronic disorders, one of which is coronary artery disease (CAD). Our study aimed to analyze the intestinal microbiome of CAD patients and assess the eligibility of dysbiosis as a diagnostic marker of CAD.
Methods: PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science were searched using terms, such as 'CAD' and 'microbiome'.

The 16-Item Informant Questionnaire on Cognitive Decline for the Elderly (IQCODE 16) has been frequently used to diagnose prestroke dementia, an important determinant of stroke prognosis. This study aims to identify a mechanism for the occurrence of interruptions in a hospital pharmacy and find interventional points using a synthetic approach based on resilience engineering and systems thinking, and assess implemented measures for reducing them.
Methods: At a Japanese university hospital, we gathered information about performance adjustments of pharmacists in the inpatient medication dispensing unit for oral and topical medicines (IMDU-OT) and nurses in the inpatient wards (IPWs) in the medication dispensing and delivery process.
Aim: Postpartum depression (PPD) may have negative effects on the parents and lead to impaired cognitive, socioemotional, and behavioral development in their children. The purpose of this study was to examine factors associated with PPD in parents during the first year after delivery.
Methods: This study used a self-administered questionnaire.
We examined whether maximum body mass index (BMI) before the onset of diabetes (MBBO) affects histological findings of islet cells. The cell motility of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) is essential for vascular and internal organ development and tissue regeneration in response to damage. Cell migration requires dynamic changes in the actin-cytoskeleton via the p-21 activated kinase (Pak)-Cofilin signaling cascade, which is the central axis of the actin filaments. Information regarding lifestyle factors, including the number of meals consumed per day, snacking habits, exercise habits, exercise at work, smoking habits, alcohol intake, insomnia, sleep apnea syndrome, and night-shift working, was acquired from self-administered questionnaires or medical records.
This study examined the relationship between sensory processing sensitivity and psychological stress reactivity in 69 healthy Japanese university students. The Japanese version of the Highly Sensitive Person Scale and the Japanese version of the Adolescent/Adult Sensory Profile were used for subjective assessment. The Galvanic skin response was measured as an objective measure of stress responses while the participants were completing the Stroop task.
