An efficient access to the novel 5-(aryl)amino-1,2,3-triazole-containing 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole derivatives has been developed. The method is based on 1,3-dipolar azide-nitrile cycloaddition followed by Buchwald-Hartwig cross-coupling to afford the corresponding -aryl and ,-diaryl substituted 5-amino-1,2,3-triazolyl 2,1,3-benzothiadiazoles under NHC-Pd catalysis. The one-pot diarylative Pd-catalyzed heterocyclization opens the straightforward route to triazole-linked carbazole-benzothiadiazole D-A systems.

This work is devoted to the investigation of heterobimetallic Ru(II) complexes as photosensitizers for room-temperature photoactivated InO-based gas sensors. Nanocrystalline InO was synthesized by the chemical precipitation method. The obtained InO matrix has a single-phase bixbyite structure with an average grain size of 13-14 nm and a specific surface area of 72 ± 3 m/g.

This paper presents a comparative analysis of HS sensor properties of nanocrystalline SnO modified with Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) as reference sample or Ag organic complexes (AgL1 and AgL2). New hybrid materials based on SnO and Ag(I) organometallic complexes were obtained. The microstructure, compositional characteristics and thermal stability of the composites were thoroughly studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescent spectroscopy (XRF), Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Article Synopsis
  • Air humidity significantly impacts the performance of semiconductor gas sensors, particularly at low temperatures, with this study focusing on hybrid materials containing nanocrystalline SnO, InO, and a Ru(II) complex for detecting NO.
  • The research tested the sensors under various humidity levels (20%, 40%, 65%, and 90% RH) and assessed their effectiveness for NO detection in humid conditions using periodic blue light illumination.
  • Results from advanced spectroscopy techniques revealed that water molecules replace adsorbed oxygen, leading to reduced sensor sensitivity to NO due to changes in charge carrier concentration and the availability of active sites for gas interaction.

In this work, the optical characteristics and conductivity under photoactivation with visible light of hybrids based on nanocrystalline SnO2 or In2O3 semiconductor matrixes and heteroleptic Ru(ii) complexes were studied. The heteroleptic Ru(ii) complexes were prepared based on 1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline and 2,2'-bipyridine ligands. Nanocrystalline semiconductor oxides were obtained by chemical precipitation with subsequent thermal annealing and characterized by XRD, SEM and single-point BET methods.

Nitric oxide (NO) is one of the main environmental pollutants and one of the biomarkers noninvasive diagnosis of respiratory diseases. Organic-inorganic hybrids based on heterocyclic Ru (II) complex and nanocrystalline semiconductor oxides SnO and InO were studied as sensitive materials for NO detection at room temperature under periodic blue light (λ = 470 nm) illumination. The semiconductor matrixes were obtained by chemical precipitation with subsequent thermal annealing and characterized by XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and single-point BET methods.

Photochemical oxidative cyclization of 2- and 3-thienylstilbenes (heterostilbenes) containing mono-, di- and trimethoxy groups in the benzene ring or heterocyclic fragment results in the formation of isomeric thieno-annelated polycyclic aromatic compounds demonstrating optical properties that differ from those of initial stilbene derivatives. The structures of cyclic products were evaluated viaH and C NMR, HRMS, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography. The research was aimed to study the effect of substituents in stilbene derivatives of thiophene as well as the position of the styryl fragment in the thiophene nucleus on the occurrence of photocyclization reactions.

Novel heteroleptic Er(iii) and Yb(iii) naphthalocyaninato-phthalocyaninates containing an octa-phenyl or octa-phenoxysubstituted naphthalocyanine deck were synthesised and identified by H NMR, EPR and high resolution MALDI-TOF/TOF mass spectrometry. Direct synthesis of novel homoleptic Yb(iii) bis (octa-phenylnaphthalocyaninate) was carried out. Downfield lanthanide induced shifts of the aromatic protons in target compounds were observed compared with the corresponding diamagnetic Lu(iii) complexes.

In this work, the hybrids based on nanocrystalline SnO₂ or In₂O₃ semiconductor matrixes and heterocyclic Ru(II) complex are studied as materials for gas sensors operating at room temperature under photoactivation with visible light. Nanocrystalline semiconductor oxides are obtained by chemical precipitation with subsequent thermal annealing and characterized by XRD, SEM and single-point BET methods. The heterocyclic Ru(II) complex is synthesized for the first time and investigated by ¹H NMR, C NMR APT, MALDI-MS analysis, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.

This paper deals with the functionalization of nanocrystalline SnO₂ with Cu(II) complexes with organic ligands, aimed at the improvement of sensor selectivity towards gas molecules. For the synthesis of metalorganic/SnO₂ hybrid material complexes of Cu(II) with phthalocyanine, porphyrinines, bipyridine and azadithiacrown etherwere used. The analysis of gas sensor properties showed the possibility of increasing the sensitivity and selectivity of hybrid materials in H₂S detection due to the electron transfer from SnO₂ to an adsorbed organic molecule, which changes during the interaction between H₂S and Cu(II) ions.

The authors examined 210 children aged 11-12 years for the impact of an academic process on the mental and physical health of pupils. The children were from two schools: a school with a physicomathematical bias and a general educational school. The anxiety of the children from these schools and their physical health were evaluated.

A study was made of the morphology of plague moderate bacteriophages 1701, 1710 and their mutants 1701-1 and 1710-1. The phages proved to be morphologically identical, were referred to group 5, and were identical to the moderate plague H-phages; when confronted to the commonness of the serological properties and a number of other signs this indicated their affinity.
