Purpose: To examine and compare stress values of implants, highest tensile and compressive values, and their distribution in cortical and trabecular bone near and around the implant region using different materials (aramid fiber, glass fiber, polyethylene fiber, carbon fiber, and cobalt-chromium [Co-Cr] alloy). Four dental implants were placed in the maxillary crest with two different location scenarios, and the 3D finite element analysis method was used to evaluate stress characteristics.

We have found that NCX4040 is cytotoxic against both OVCAR-8 and its adriamycin-selected OVCAR-8 variant (NCI/ADR-RES) tumor cell lines. While the mechanism of action of NCX4040 is not entirely clear, we as well as others have shown that NCX4040 generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) and induces DNA damage in tumor cells.

An Se-derivative of amidoxime was synthesized for the first time as a result of the reaction of oxidative polycondensation of N'-hydroxy-1,2,5-oxadiazole-3-carboximidamide with SeO: its elementary units are linked to each other due to the formation of strong diselenide bridges. The element composition of the material was established, and the structure of the elementary unit was suggested.
