The purpose of this study is to evaluate the intraocular pressure (IOP) -lowering effect and safety of topical travoprost with sofzia and without benzalkonium chloride on Japanese patients with glaucoma. Topical travoprost (0.04%) was used on 39 glaucoma patients with no prior use of topical prostaglandin F2alpha analogues (Beginning group).

Platelets are produced by megakaryocytes (MKs) through proplatelet formation (PPF), or cytoplasmic extensions, in vitro. Through the use of video-enhanced light microscopy, as well as localization of cytoskeletal proteins by confocal microscopy, the reaction of fully mature MK proplatelets, derived from murine embryonic stem cells, to various agents was studied. Calyculin A (protein phosphatase 1/2A inhibitor) treatment induced proplatelet retraction.

The energy transfer and small-scale intermittency in decaying turbulence in four dimensions (4D) are studied by direct numerical simulation and by spectral theory in comparison with three dimensions (3D). The energy transfer is more efficient in 4D than in 3D, hence the exponent of energy decay is larger. The Kolmogorov constant is 1.

We investigated the roles of the convection, pressure, and dissipation terms in the equation for the longitudinal velocity increment, with the help of the DNS data on 1024(3). The pressure screens the convection growing as the intensity of fluctuation increases. The dissipation term is found to make no direct contribution to the fourth order structure function; the structure functions of order not less than 5 are affected by the dissipative structure as far as the scaling is concerned.

In this study, we further investigated whether Spi-B, another hematopoietic Ets transcription factor, also interacts with CBP.
