Jumping performance is influenced by body composition and excess fat mass impairs performance. Maintaining optimal fat mass and fat-free mass (FFM) is crucial for enhancing jump height. However, there is limited evidence on short-term weight loss programs that reduce fat mass without water restriction and their effects on muscle function and jumping performance.

Recently, a tight link has been suggested between genetic abnormalities and subsequent metabolic and epigenetic dysregulation to drive the progression of malignant tumors. However, it remains elusive whether such reprogramming could contribute to the pathogenesis of NUT carcinoma.

To develop a novel anti-HBV drug for a functional cure, we performed in silico screening of the binding compounds fitting the steric structure of the IFN-alpha-binding pocket in IFNAR2. We identified 37 compounds and named them in silico cccDNA modulator (iCDM)-1-37.

However, the importance of the "meal first" principle has not been detailly well documented in athletes' lives. Supplement use has recently become a common part of athletes' diets, but unmonitored supplement use can cause negative consequences, such as anti-doping violations and health issues.

The 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA)-based photodynamic diagnosis (ALA-PDD) has not been routinely applied in urine cytology analysis yet, although it has been well accepted for tumor lesion marking in cystoscopy.

Patients And Methods: We retrospectively evaluated patients receiving HD therapy who had undergone RARC or open radical cystectomy (ORC) for BC between April 1988 and December 2021 at two affiliated institutions. We compared the surgical outcomes and survival after radical cystectomy between patients treated with RARC and those treated with ORC.
Objective: The experience of performing robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) is associated with better surgical outcomes. However, surgeon's generation may impact surgical outcomes. We evaluated the perioperative outcomes of RAPN between first- and second-generation surgeons according to the surgeon's experience.

Patients And Methods: FDG-PET/CT data from 66 clear cell RCC and 19 non-clear cell RCC cases between January 2015 and October 2018 were reviewed retrospectively. We compared the two groups according to recurrence/metastasis to determine prognosis-influencing factors.
Introduction: We present a case of novel coronavirus disease-2019 that underwent combination therapy with nivolumab and ipilimumab for metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
Case Presentation: A 50-year-old man complained of anorexia and weight loss. Contrast-enhanced computed tomography revealed a solid mass of 57 mm in diameter with cysts in the right kidney, along with liver, lung, and multiple bone metastases.
Background: The assessment of frailty before and after kidney transplantation is becoming more important in the aging population. It is recommended to recognize the post-transplant risks and establish a treatment strategy. We report the case of a patient who underwent 2 laparotomy hemostasis procedures due to frailty after kidney transplantation.

We aimed to construct a virus-free rapid detection system for high-throughput screening of IFN-like compounds that induce viral RNA degradation and suppress the replication of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). We prepared a SARS-CoV-2 subreplicon RNA expression vector which contained the SARS-CoV-2 5'-UTR, the partial sequence of ORF1a, luciferase, nucleocapsid, ORF10, and 3'-UTR under the control of the cytomegalovirus promoter.

We report about a patient who underwent ABO-incompatible kidney transplantation after coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) without a recurrence of infection.
Case Report: A 68-year-old woman presented with end-stage renal failure owing to primary autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease; accordingly, hemodialysis was initiated in September 2020.
Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection may become more severe in those who have undergone kidney transplantation than in the general population. False-negative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) results have been reported for COVID-19 infection. Patients might carry infection even though RT-PCR results are negative.

Case Report: A 39-year-old man underwent living donor kidney transplantation from his mother. After 14 years, routine screening ultrasonography revealed a solid mass of 30-mm diameter in the kidney allograft.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of chemoembolization for inoperable metastatic epidural spinal cord compression (MESCC) refractory to re-radiotherapy.
Methods: Nineteen consecutive patients with recurrent MESCC after re-radiotherapy who had undergone chemoembolization were retrospectively analyzed. Outcome measures were pain relief rate, neurological improvement rate, objective response rate, and adverse events.
To investigate the detection of peritumoral pseudocapsule (PC) using multi-detector row computed tomography (MDCT) for tumors resected by robot-assisted laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (RAPN) for T1 renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Study participants included 206 patients with clinical T1 RCC who underwent RAPN between October 2017 and February 2018. Two radiologists who were blinded to the pathological findings evaluated the computed tomography (CT) images.

Materials And Methods: Fifty consecutive patients with RT-failure BMs who had undergone Re-RT (23 patients) and transarterial chemoembolization (27 patients) were retrospectively analyzed. The primary endpoint was clinical response, and the secondary endpoints were objective response and adverse events.

Herein, we present a case of superior mesenteric artery (SMA) thrombus as a complication of stent placement for celiac stenosis and coil packing of a pancreaticoduodenal artery aneurysm. The SMA thrombus was likely caused by thromboembolism from the guiding sheath in the SMA without a continuous heparin flush. It was promptly treated with aspiration thrombectomy, and there was no mesenteric ischemia.

Methods: We included in this retrospective study 25 RCC patients (28 bone metastases), who were treated with RT at our institution. Patients were divided into two groups: patients treated with RT alone (monotherapy group; n = 17) and those treated with RT combined with TACE (combined therapy group; n = 11).
Spinal metastasis is a rare presentation of paraganglioma and an effective therapy for nonresectable spinal metastatic paraganglioma (MPG) has not yet been established. We report the case of a 42-year-old woman with metastatic spinal cord compression caused by a relapsed spinal MPG after decompressive surgery. We performed transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) in addition to systemic chemotherapy.

Nucleotide analogs and IFNα inhibit viral polymerase activity and cause long-term eradication of the virus at least in part through removing covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA) via induction of the APOBEC3 deaminases family of molecules, respectively. This study aimed to explore whether the orally administrable low molecular weight agent CDM-3008 (RO8191), which mimics IFNα through the binding to IFNα/β receptor 2 (IFNAR2) and the activation of the JAK/STAT pathway, can suppress HBV replication and reduce cccDNA levels.

Because the current treatments for HBV, such as an interferon (IFN) formulation or nucleoside/nucleotide analogues, are not sufficient, the development of a more effective agent for HBV is urgent required. CDM-3008 (1, 2-(2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)imidazo[1,2-a][1,8]naphthyridin-8-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole) (RO8191)) is a small molecule with an imidazo[1,2-a][1,8]naphthyridine scaffold that shows anti-HCV activity with an IFN-like effect.
