Background: The role of NT-proBNP as a cardiac biomarker for predicting short-term major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains unclear.
Aims: This study investigated the utility of the NT-proBNP level for predicting MACEs within a 6-month period in patients with ACS.
Methods: This prospective study included 241 consecutively enrolled adults with ACS between September 2023 and February 2024.
Background: Optimal glycemic control is necessary to prevent cardiovascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes. The positive impact of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) on cardiovascular events and mortality in these patients has been demonstrated by previous studies although the mechanism is unclear.
Aims: We aimed to compare the influence of SGLT2i on left ventricular remodeling and strain in diabetic patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) and without CAD during 6-month follow-up.
Aim: Although there are many scales that measure stigma, there is no scale with the necessary adequacy to measure stigma in the perinatal period. The study aims to develop the stigma scale for women with mental illness in the perinatal period and test its validity and reliability.
Materials And Methods: Participants were reached via patients, visitors, and hospital staff who applied to Sakarya Training and Research Hospital between 01/06/2022 and 01/12/2022.

This study investigated the effects of behavioral skills training (BST) in teaching earthquake preparedness skills to students with developmental disabilities within a small group arrangement. A multiple probe design across behaviors and replicated across participants evaluated the effectiveness of BST when teaching three high school students to prepare an earthquake emergency kit, do drop-cover-hold, and share location through a personal safety app. All students acquired, maintained, and generalized the target behaviors.

Methods: A software platform called Perinatal Anxiety Depression Monitoring Platform (PADIP) was developed. This study included 320 pregnant women: 160 in the PADIP group and 160 in the control group.
Objective: It is known that in the digital age we live in, people try to get information on many medical issues through Internet searches. Especially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic triggering mental problems and health professionals' stay-at-home warnings, it has become difficult for individuals to receive psychiatric help, and this has encouraged accessing information about mental problems and their treatments through Internet searches. In this context, infodemiologic research, especially with Google Trends (GT; Google LLC, Mountain View, California, United States), has become very popular in recent years.

Although the diagnosis is made by specialist doctors, it is unclear which parameters are more effective. Especially in medicine, it is crucial to diagnose disease with high accuracy.

Plasma concentrations of BUP and norBUP were detected by LC-MS/MS. PCR-RFLP method was used to genotype polymorphisms.

Methods: The study consists of 33 patients with unilateral crowe type IV dysplastic hip osteoarthritis who developed iatrogenic ipsilateral genu valgum after total hip arthroplasty. The patients were randomly separated into 2 groups of Group 1 ( = 16) where percutaneous iliotibial band tricut partial tenotomy was applied (PITP) and Group 2 ( = 17) where no treatment was applied.
Background: Transverse myelitis (TM) is a very uncommon condition in children which can be associated with viral infections. Acute TM cases have been reported after Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection during the pandemic.
Case Report: We report a child with TM related to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, who was successfully treated with therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE).
Background: Although chemotherapy-induced cardiotoxicity is an emerging problem, limited information is available on the effects of chemotherapy on left ventricular (LV) mechanical functions in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
Objective: We aimed to explore chemotherapy-induced alterations in cardiac mechanical functions in patients with NSCLC using speckle tracking echocardiography (STE).
Methods: Seventy-one patients with NSCLC and 34 age and sex matched control subjects were consecutively included.
This study was conducted to determine the pathogenic bacteria load of 14 species of marine fish obtained from two suppliers (in Bitlis city, Turkey), which provide fish for fish markets, and to reveal the safety of the marine fish in terms of microbiological quality. The counts of total mesophilic aerobic bacteria (TMAB), Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli, the presence of Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes were determined in anchovy, horse mackerel, salmon, red mullet, gilthead seabream, bonito, pilchard, common sole, sand smelt, axillary seabream, seabass, Mediterranean horse mackerel, bluefish, and garpike.

Singleton live pregnancies with placenta previa or low-lying placenta within 32-34 weeks of gestation were included in the study. The cases were divided into two groups after delivery as those with PAS and those with normal placentation.

A retrospective evaluation was made of 114 cases (60 females, 54 males) who presented at our clinic with complaints of localised pain and swelling in the upper extremity between 1 June 2016 and 31 December 2018. The cases were separated into 3 groups; Group 1 with a mass determined in the carpal region, Group 2 with localisation between the wrist and the metacarpophalangeal joint, and Group 3, in the distal of the metacarpophalangeal joint.

Alcohol consumption may also cause additional health problems, such as respiratory infections or neuropsychiatric conditions such as central pontine myelinolysis. In this clinical scenario, managing DT can be expected to be more compelling and complex.

The aim of our study was to describe the localisation and variety of rash and to investigate whether presenting with rash at admission alters the clinical course of MIS-C.
Methods: This prospective, observational cohort study was conducted amongst children under 18 years of age who were admitted to our paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) between May 2020 and May 2021 with a possible diagnosis of MIS-C.
