Longitudinal functional changes with clinically significant radiographic progression in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis: are we following the right parameters?

Background: Progression of the disease in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is difficult to predict, due to its variable and heterogenous course. The relationship between radiographic progression and functional decline in IPF is unclear. We sought to confirm that a simple HRCT fibrosis visual score is a reliable predictor of mortality in IPF, when longitudinally followed; and to ascertain which pulmonary functional variables best reflect clinically significant radiographic progression.

Vascular anomalies of the celiac trunk and implications in treatment of HCC with TACE. Description of a case and review of the literature.

Knowledge of the vascular anatomy of the upper abdomen is important in the daily practice of surgeons specialized in the hepatobiliary and pancreatic area, and for general surgeons and radiologists, mainly those involved in interventional radiology. Since anatomical variants of the celiac axis and hepatic arteries are common, an accurate description of vascularization is required before procedures to avoid iatrogenic vascular changes. We reported a case of a young male patient with HBV related cirrhosis, who came to our institution for the treatment of 2 HCC nodules.

Cyst of canal of Nuck in a young woman affected by kniest syndrome: ultrasound and MRI features.

Swelling of the inguinal region in a woman is a frequent finding in daily clinical practice. We focused our attention on the possible differential diagnoses, giving emphasis to the less common causes of this frequent female disorder and describing their characteristics in ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. The causes of swelling in this region may be multiple and in this paper, we will show a rare case of diagnosis of Nuck's canal cyst in a patient with Kniest Syndrome.

Relation between Hypofractionated Radiotherapy, Toxicity and Outcome in Early Breast Cancer.

To compare adjuvant conventional radiotherapy (C-RT) to hypofractionated schedule (HF-RT) in early breast cancer. Between May 2012 and September 2015, 120 patients were included in the analysis. All patients underwent conservative surgery and adjuvant RT.
