Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (arGLP1) are an effective treatment for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), mainly due to increasing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release by stimulating the respective receptors. Taking into account their positive effect on major cardiovascular events, drugs in this group with proven cardioprotective effects are recommended for patients with T2DM and clinical cardiovascular diseases or multiple cardiovascular risk factors. In this paper, we present an overview of current clinical studies on the clinical efficacy and safety of arGLP1 and discuss current prospects for arGLP1 as a therapy for patients with T2DM.

Carrier-selective and passivating SiO[Formula: see text]/TiO[Formula: see text] heterocontacts are an attractive alternative to conventional contacts due to their high efficiency potentials combined with relatively simple processing schemes. It is widely accepted that post deposition annealing is necessary to obtain high photovoltaic efficiencies, especially for full area aluminum metallized contacts. Despite some previous high-level electron microscopy studies, the picture of atomic-scale processes underlying this improvement seems to be incomplete.

To study burnout of Russian physicians in the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic and how their work with coronavirus-infected patients influenced it. According to a three-factor model of burnout developed by Maslach and Jackson, this syndrome includes emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduction of personal accomplishment. A cross-sectional survey study.

Type 2 diabetes is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and varying degrees of insulin resistance and insulinopenia. Achieving targeted glycemic control in diabetic patients is important to reduce the risk of late complications, and many patients with type 2 diabetes ultimately require insulin therapy to maintain adequate glycemic control. Timely administration of insulin can prevent the progression of diabetes, reduce the development of complications, and have fewer side effects.

Aim: To study characteristics of maternal behavior in women with epilepsy.

Material And Methods: Twenty-three women with epilepsy, aged 25-35 years, with one or more children, aged 0-10 years, were interviewed. Thirty age-matched women were included in the control group.

Antipsychotic (AP) drugs are used to treat psychiatric disorders but are associated with significant weight gain and metabolic disease. Increased food intake (hyperphagia) appears to be a driving force by which APs induce weight gain but the mechanisms are poorly understood. Here we report that administration of APs to C.

Electrical conductivity profile behind the detonation front in the benzotrifuroxane (BTF) was measured using high-resolution technique. BTF is a peculiar high explosive which is completely hydrogen-free: its molecular formula is CNO. Results are compared with the conductivity distributions in detonating hexogen (RDX, CHNO) and triaminotrinitrobenzene based explosive (TATB, CHNO).

There is presented the method of local laser hyperthermia on the domestic nanotechnological optic-fiber device LAZON-FT integrated into the program of brachytherapy for tumors of the female reproductive system. This is a universal radiosensibilizator that demonstrates the acceleration of tumor regression also during local and systemic chemotherapy--tumor regression at 50-705 in such conditions permits recommend it in locally advanced cervical and endometrial cancer as well as cancer of the vulva and vagina in the frames of combined use with brachytherapy and chemotherapy.

Urinary tract pathology is one of the reasons limiting possibility of all kind of radical treatment followed by proper rehabilitation in patients with cancer of the female genital organs. 469 patients suffering from cancer of the female genital organs with urological obstructive complications were successfully treated by means of conformal external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy for the period 2003-2012 after correction of urological pathology. A use of interventional technologies for urinary tract drainage that minimize the frequency of repeated invasive procedures to reduce the risk of remote infectious and functional urinal complications after radiotherapy is the most priority for the implementation of irradiation of any required volume in patients with cancer of the female genital organs.

The paper describes a case of anti-glomerular basement membrane glomerulonephritis (anti-GBM GN) concurrent with membranous glomerulopathy (MGP) in a 25-year-old female patient. The diagnosis was established on the basis of clinical, laboratory, and pathomorphological data, including electron microscopic ones). The comprehensive analysis, including ultrastructural diagnosis, is shown to be important in identifying this rare combination of two nosological entities, anti-GBM GN and MGP, in the same patient.

We used combinations of taxan-based neoadjuvant and adjuvant full-dose chemotherapy and aggressive combined radiotherapy including clinical target volume extension, increased total dosage, hyperthermia, cryo- and local chemotherapy as radiosensitizers, for treatment of invasive and locally-advanced breast cancer or endometrial carcinoma with poor prognosis. 3D-ultrasound/CT/MRI--based designing of radiotherapy and monitoring of dynamic definition of target volume and "high risk volume" in organs at risk in cases of tumor progression was an indispensable measure. As a result, no local recurrence was reported in 73% for 36 months.

Aim: To find out correlations between severity of sclerotic affection of the glomeruli, tubules, interstitium, vessels and development of anemia in patients with glomerulopathy.

Material And Methods: Assay of global and segmentary sclerosis, semiquantitative morphometry of severity of atrophic tubular changes, diffuse interstitial fibrosis, vascular changes (arteriolohyalinosis, elastofibrosis and perivascular sclerosis) were made in parallel with analysis of clinical laboratory data in 276 cases of chronic primary glomerulopathy with morphologically verified diagnosis by vital renal biopsy.

Results: Hemoglobin concentration and advance of anemia correlate negatively with severity of diffuse interstitial fibrosis and atrophic tubular alterations.

The authors believe that systematization and standardization of prophylaxis and treatment of urinary complications after radiotherapy for cancer of the lesser pelvis organs are necessary. We studied urinary bladder function, applied a complex of diagnostic procedures including combined urodynamic investigation in the course of radiotherapy. This promoted more effective therapy and higher life quality in the studied patients.

How to apply information obtained with modern methods of visualization of urinary bladder (UB) primary cancer and regional metastatic zones (ultrasound investigation, computer tomography, NMR-tomography, urography, cystoscopy) in design of radiotherapy is demonstrated as well as contribution of each of these methods to design of individual regimens of computer gamma-therapy. This advanced method of radiotherapy makes use of computer design and programs of multicenter and multiposition static and dynamic techniques of calculation of total dose distributions which comply with topographic anatomy of the tumor and radiobiological programs of radiotherapy of UB cancer.

Clinical data on the management of squamous-cell cervical carcinoma stage II-III FIGO are presented. At stage I, treatment included neoadjuvant polychemotherapy (NACT)--cisplatin 100 mg/m2, carboplatin 450 mg/m2 in conjunction with 5-FU 250 mg/m2 or paclitaxel 135 mg/m2. According to protocol, two identical courses of NACT were given, at 21-28 day interval, followed by extended extirpation of the uterus (Wertheim).

The study was concerned with radiotherapy planning using individual data on tissue volume to be treated. The investigation used criteria based on correlations of TDF, actual volume identified by ultrasound, computed and magnetic resonance tomography and dose fractionation regime. As a result, grave complication rates dropped 3 times including cases of locally advanced tumors, non-traditional dose fractionation and advanced regimens of polychemotherapy.
