Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the factor structure of the Oral Behaviors Checklist (OBC) in Chinese temporomandibular disorder (TMDs) patients and compare the outcomes with those of Western patients. Additionally, it examined the correlations between different OBC subscale scoring methods.
Methods: A total of 869 patients completed a survey that included demographic information, the Symptom Questionnaire, and OBC.
Objective: This study aimed to simplify the Jaw Functional Limitation Scale (JFLS) and evaluate its reliability and validity in assessing jaw function in patients with temporomandibular disorders (TMD) in primary care.
Methods: TMD patients and non-TMD participants were assessed using Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (DC/TMD). Demographic data and the 8-item JFLS questionnaire were collected to quantify jaw functional restriction.
Objective: Growing researches explore vitamin D's role in temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), but the link between vitamin D and TMDs remains debated. To clarify the causal relationship, we conducted a Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis using data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS).
Subjects And Methods: The GWAS dataset of vitamin D (GWAS ID: ukb-d-30890_irnt; sample size: 329247) was obtained from the IEU Open GWAS project.
