The escalating hazards posed by bacterial infections underscore the imperative for pioneering advancements in next-generation antibacterial modalities and treatments. Present therapeutic methodologies are frequently impeded by the constraints of insufficient biofilm infiltration and the absence of precision in pathogen-specific targeting. In this current study, we have used chlorin e6 (Ce6), zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8), polydopamine (PDA), and UBI peptide to formulate an innovative nanosystem meticulously engineered to confront bacterial infections and effectually dismantle biofilm architectures through the concerted mechanism of photodynamic therapy (PDT)/photothermal therapy (PTT) therapies, including in-depth research, especially for oral bacteria and oral biofilm.

Photo-crosslinked hydrogel (PH) is an outstanding candidate for three-dimensional (3D) printing as a wound dressing because of its high efficiency in crosslinking and injectability. In this study, methylene blue (MB)-loaded UiO-66(Ce) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized to prevent drug self-aggregation and achieve the photodynamic therapy (PDT) effect for efficient antibacterial action. Then, a composite photocrosslinked silk fibroin (SF)/gelatin hydrogel loaded with MB@UiO-66(Ce) NPs (MB@UiO-66(Ce)/PH) was fabricated.

Carbon fiber reinforced polyetheretherketone (CFRPEEK) possesses a similar elastic modulus to that of human cortical bone and is considered as a promising candidate to replace metallic implants. However, the bioinertness and deficiency of antibacterial activities impede its application in orthopedic and dentistry. In this work, titanium plasma immersion ion implantation (Ti-PIII) is applied to modify CFRPEEK, achieving unique multi-hierarchical nanostructures and active sites on the surface.

Materials And Methods: Forty undergraduate dental students of the fourth year were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group to complete the training task of tooth preparation for porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crown restoring the upper right central incisor. Injectable hydrogel is suitable for the repair of lacunar bone deficiency. This study fabricated an injectable, self-adaptive silk fibroin/mesoporous bioglass/sodium alginate (SMS) composite hydrogel system. With controllable and adjustable physical and chemical properties, the SMS hydrogel could be easily optimized adaptively to different clinical applications.

To explore the optimal pre-sintering temperature for graded glass/zirconia material, glass/zirconia specimens were prepared and pre-sintered at 900, 1,000 and 1,100°C respectively, glass infiltration and densification at 1,450°C. Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the repeatability of intraoral digital impression scanning with the repeatability of extraoral scanning by using Geomagic Qualify 12 as the software of analysis.

Methods: One Nissin Dental Study Model (upper jaw) with prepared abutments were designed to form 5 set of arrangements according to the layout of prepared abutments (arrangement 1: single prepared maxillary central incisor; arrangement 2: single prepared maxillary first molar; arrangement 3: prepared central incisor and canine with the lateral incisor absent; arrangement 4: half of upper arch with 7 prepared teeth; arrangement 5: entire upper arch with 14 prepared teeth). Each arrangement of Nissin Dental Study Model was scanned by TRIOS intraoral digital scanner (experimental group) and D800 extraoral scanner (control group) for 10 times exporting 100 STL files in total.
