Background: Coronary care unit (CCU) patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) lack effective predictors of in-hospital mortality. This study aimed to investigate the performance of four scoring systems in predicting in-hospital mortality in CCU patients with AMI.
Methods: The baseline data, the logistic organ dysfunction system (LODS), the Oxford acute severity of illness score (OASIS), the simplified acute physiology score II (SAPS II), and the simplified acute physiology score III (SAPS III) scores of the patients were extracted from the fourth edition of the Medical Information Mart for Critical Care (MIMIC-IV) database.
Aim: It has been reported that Osteoprotegerin (OPG) induces cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, but the mechanism remains unclear. This study was to investigate the role of Focal Adhesion Kinase (FAK) pathway in the OPG induced hypertrophy in cultured cardiomyocytes.
Methods: The H9C2 line of rat cardiomyocytes were treated with OPG at different concentrations and the cellular hypertrophy was evaluated.
Background: Diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphomas.
