Quantum dot (QD)-converted micrometer-scale light-emitting diodes (micro-LEDs) are regarded as an effective solution for achieving high-performance full-color micro-LED displays because of their narrow-band emission, simplified mass transfer, facile drive circuits, and low cost. However, these micro-LEDs suffer from significant blue light leakage and unsatisfactory electroluminescence properties due to the poor light conversion efficiency and stability of the QDs. Herein, the construction of green and red QD luminescence microspheres with the simultaneously high conversion efficiency of blue light and strong photoluminescence stability are proposed.

Tank-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) is a critical signal transducer in the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) and interferon regulatory factor (IRF) pathways, essential for innate immunity. However, its negative regulation mechanisms remain unclear. This study demonstrates that TBK1 succinylation, regulated by desuccinylase SIRT5, inhibits lipopolysaccharide (LPS)/Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-mediated NF-κB and IRF signaling activation.

  • EphrinB2 is crucial for promoting the formation of blood and lymph vessels during embryo development and plays a significant role in cardiac lymphangiogenesis after a heart attack (myocardial infarction, MI).
  • The study found that EphrinB2 helps prevent heart remodeling and dysfunction post-MI by activating pathways involved in lymphangiogenesis, with its absence leading to worsening heart conditions.
  • Mechanistically, EphrinB2 enhances the proliferation and migration of lymphatic endothelial cells, boosts the activity of a specific transcription factor (ISL1), and its effects are diminished when the VEGFR3 pathway is inhibited, highlighting its importance in cardiac recovery after MI.

Ginsenosides are major active components of , which are generally glycosylated at C3-OH and/or C20-OH of protopanaxadiol (PPD) and C6-OH and/or C20-OH of protopanaxatriol. However, the glucosides of dammarenediol-II (DM), which is the direct precursor of PPD, have scarcely been separated from . Because different positions and numbers of the hydroxyl and glycosyl groups lead to a diversity of structure and function of the ginsenosides, it can be inferred that DM glucosides may have different pharmacological activities compared with natural ginsenosides.

Article Synopsis
  • - Sepsis often causes high lactate levels and acute lung injury (ALI), with clinical studies linking elevated lactate to higher mortality in septic patients.
  • - Researchers found that during sepsis, lactate triggers changes in cold-inducible RNA-binding protein (CIRP) within macrophages, leading to the release of CIRP, which then interacts with pulmonary vascular endothelial cells (PVECs) to promote cell death pathways.
  • - The study reveals that lactate-induced CIRP release stabilizes Z-DNA binding protein 1 (ZBP1) in PVECs, exacerbating ALI through a cell death mechanism known as PANoptosis, emphasizing a potentially new target for treating sepsis-related complications. *
