Passion fruit is one of the most famous fruit crops in tropical and subtropical regions due to its high edible, medicinal, and ornamental value. Flavonoids, a class of plant secondary metabolites, have important health-related roles. In this study, a total of 151 flavonoid metabolites were identified, of which 25 key metabolites may be the main contributors to the purple phenotype.

Crown rot caused by is a major fungal disease, which can seriously reduce the yield and quality of passion fruit. Receptor-like proteins (RLPs), which act as pathogen recognition receptors, are widely involved in plant immune responses and developmental processes.

Although the exact mechanisms remain elusive, clinical evidence has suggested that Jinlida granules (JLD) are beneficial in improving renal function among patients with DN. The present study aimed to elucidate the effect of JLD on DN and the underlying molecular mechanism.

The "Magic Methyl" effect has received tremendous interest in medicinal chemistry due to the significant pharmacological and physical modification of properties that have been observed upon introducing a methyl group, especially, a stereogenic methyl group into potential chiral drug candidates. The prevalence of stereogenic β-methyl ketone structural motifs in bioactive compounds and natural products has long motivated the development of enantioselective strategies toward their synthesis. Herein, we have rationally designed a Rh-catalyzed asymmetric monohydrogenation of readily-available β'-methylene conjugated enones with high efficiency and remarkable site-selectivity and enantioselectivity control for the practical construction of enantioenriched β'-methyl unsaturated enones that are difficult to access by other methods.

is a genus of hazardous pathogens that has caused over 30 outbreaks. However, currently approved therapies are limited in scope, as they are only effective against the Ebola virus and lack cross-protection against other orthoebolaviruses. Here, we demonstrate that a previously isolated human-derived antibody, 2G1, can recognize the glycoprotein (GP) of every orthoebolavirus species.

However, the lack of genomic data has impeded genetic research and breeding efforts. In this study, we utilize PacBio Hifi long-read sequencing and Hi-C technologies to construct a highly detailed genome of P.

However, the precise underlying mechanism by which eHsp90 contributes to the heightened virulence of Candida albicans (C. albicans) remains an enigma, awaiting further elucidation.

Ectropis grisescens (Warren), a notorious Lepidopteran pest, causes substantial damage to tea crops. Prolonged application usage of bifenthrin for the management of this pest has led to increased resistance.

However, the relationship between BCAAs and diabetic kidney disease (DKD) remains to be established. Here, we show that the elevated BCAAs from BCAAs homeostatic disruption promote DKD progression unexpectedly as an independent risk factor.

Objective: To analyze the efficacy and safety of low-dose azacitidine in the treatment of senile myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS).
Methods: A total of 92 elderly MDS patients who were initially diagnosed in the Huaibei Miners General Hospital and the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from January 2018 to June 2022 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 46 patients in each group. The observation group received a low dose of azacitidine 100 mg/d, d1-7, 28 days as a course of treatment, 6 courses in total, and the control group received a standard dose of azacitidine 75 mg(m·d), d1-7, 28 days as a course of treatment, a total of 6 courses of treatment.
Pneumocystis jirovecii is a prevalent opportunistic fungal pathogen that can lead to life-threatening Pneumocystis pneumonia in immunocompromised individuals. Given that timely and accurate diagnosis is essential for initiating prompt treatment and enhancing patient outcomes, it is vital to develop a rapid, simple, and sensitive method for P. jirovecii detection.

Herein, we engineer two IgG-(scFv) form bispecific antibodies with overlapping epitopes (bsAb1) or non-overlapping epitopes (bsAb2). Both bsAbs are significantly superior to the parental monoclonal antibodies in terms of their antigen-binding and virus-neutralizing activities against all tested circulating SARS-CoV-2 variants including currently dominant JN.

Virtual reality technology brings a new experience to human-computer interaction, while wearable force feedback devices can enhance the immersion of users in interaction. This paper proposes a wearable fingertip force feedback device that uses a tendon drive mechanism, with the aim of simulating the stiffness characteristics of objects within virtual scenes. The device adjusts the rotation angle of the torsion spring through a DC motor, and then uses a wire to convert the torque into a feedback force at the user's index fingertips, with an output force of up to 4 N and a force change rate of up to 10 N/s.

Stretchable strain sensors have gained increasing popularity as wearable devices to convert mechanical deformation of the human body into electrical signals. Two-dimensional transition metal carbides (TiCT MXene) are promising candidates to achieve excellent sensitivity. However, MXene films have been limited in operating strain ranges due to rapid crack propagation during stretching.
